First Day Experience

Postby RoleModel_Mom » March 30th, 2006, 6:36 am

Okay I just wanted to give an update on how my first day went doing mix'n'match medifast products.

Couple of weeks back I tried just the 5 shakes and L&G for a week...but got so bored with it :? and gave up on the diet  . But after posting the question here and getting the answers that I wanted to hear, I decided to mix and match. Now my schedule is to have 2 shakes, oatmeal, bar, pudding. Yesterday was just wonderful for me. I know this variety of products is going to keep me focused on the goal. I have never felt hungry or weak at all yesterday. I just LOOOOOOOOOOOVe the bar and pudding.....oatmeal is OK too. :eat:

Last night for my L&G, I tried a recipe with shrimp and thought it tasted pretty good. If any of you out there like Indian cuisine, you will love this:

6-7 oz shrimp (precooked)
2 cups spinach
1/2 cup -- mix of chopped onions, 1/2 small green chilli chooped, tiny portion of tomatoes (if you wish).
1/2 a teaspoon - ginger/garlic

Spray 1/2 Tbsp of olive oil in a pan.
Fry onion-green chilli mix and ginger/garlic for few minutes (till onions get tender. Add Shrimp and fry for 1 or 2 mins, add Spinach and fry for few minutes and let it simmer till spinach gets tender. Add salt (to your taste) and red paprika powder(optional). Fry it for another 1 min. Voila.

Yummm! I loved this recipe.

I hope I did follow the L&G guidelines to the Z.

I am sure you guys will point it out if I didn't!

I am officially medifasting 'n' I am lov'n it.
Soni

Sounds like you're off to a good start. Variety is most definitely key for me ... If I had to drink 5 shakes per day, I'd be back on pizza in no time. LOL
