Hiya glitterynile! I'm new here & just wanted to welcome you, too!

As for the BF, maybe I can give you a little help in how to view this issue (I am a divorce recovery therapist, so I deal with relationship dynamics every day & can't help myself... just tell me to shut-it if I ever get outta line! ).

This may just be scepticism because MF isn't very widely known (yet!), or it may be something we call "leveling"... could be that he didn't have super supportive parents, or maybe he's not really jazzed in the self-esteem dept. - either way, we can't give away what we don't have & he's behaving in a way that brings you to his level, self-esteem-wise. Maybe he's just not used to being blindly supportive to others' goals, which is what would be required here to support you in something he's not super familiar with.

Either way, the more you talk, the more he has to hear... be sure to express how happy you are/feel, how things are going for you, daily wins, etc. Over time, he will learn that this is important & effective in YOUR life & will see that his supporting you means a lot!

Be your own coach, do your own "happy research" via the success stories & photos on these boards & he will eventually come around, via your own genuine experience! He's just in unfamiliar territory, and whether he believes in "the plan" or not, he WILL believe in YOU... as the pounds just melt away 8)

And know what? Same thing goes for all the nay-sayers who may balk at the MF bar, but cheer you on for the fattening PowerBar!! I personally GAINED 15 pounds on Slim-Fast back in the day, so they can stuff it! :muahaha:

I'm SO HAPPY your new toys came & I am SO HAPPY for you starting on MF! YOUGOGIRL!! :whoohoo:
Nikki :woohoo:
