Erica, your post made me  chuckle outloud. In reading the entire thread, pretty much, all I did was restate what everyone else (including you, my dear) had already put forth! :) Good to know we're all on the same page!
Here's to our mutual success! :buddies: --Diana

starting again woes

Postby hawklady » January 22nd, 2008, 11:48 am

I have not been here in a LONG time, but am at the same place: starting over, as you are. I lost over 60 pounds, and kept it off for almost almost 2 years. During that time, I had to replace ALL my clothes for a much smaller size, and of course everyone I know noticed and commented on my loss. So my sliding backwards now is very scary and also very noticeable. (I had a 4-day family wedding, followed by a vaction in Europe, and then the holidays. Each of those events led to eating WAY off any kind of plan, and I was terrified of getting on the scale. Yesterday I did, and the number read: 27 and 1/2 pounds back on. My clothes are tight, and some don't fit at all. The only 2 positive things: I am not 60 pounds over, and I do KNOW what to do. And today is the 2 year anniversary of the first day I started Medifast before.
I am going to do it again, back to 5 and 1 and lots of water. For me the key last time was ZERO TOLERANCE. No cheating, no temptations in my house and no days off. I will report in, and maybe we can help each other. I don't know why it's so much harder to start over, but it is.
