feeling guilty!!

Postby cindy1958 » January 19th, 2006, 5:03 pm

Hello all!
I have to say I'm feeling horrible! I decided to add food to my complete plan. I have been doing 5-1 lean and green. Now the problem is this makes me SOOoo hungry!
Is this normal? I feel like I need to go back to the complete (no food) way. Has anyone ever felt more hungry on the partial fast? Please let me know......I'm feeling so depressed.
Thanks \Cindy

Hi Cindy. :D I am on day 5 and I've never tried the complete fast...but I really don't think you should feel depressed about your decision to switch to the 5 and 1 plan. I bet if you keep drinking lots of water and make sure your meals are spaced every two to three hours your hunger will go away. I was pretty hungry the first couple of days, but now the only time I really get hungry is if I am late with a supplement or my Lean and Green.

Now certainly, I am no expert here....quite the opposite in fact! However, I think you're doing great and I don't think you should be too hard on yourself. Don't forget you can have a snack if you really need to. I bet once you adapt, the 5 and 1 will be a lot easier for you! :D

Hi Cindy,

I'm on my 2nd week of MF. Here's what I felt like my first week. I seemed to start feeling hungry about every 2 hours, and I would eat! Make sure you are drinking water throughout the day as well. By the time I was home for my lean and green, that filled me up even more and left me one more MF meal for the evening.

Now that I'm in the 2nd week, I'm forgetting to eat. I look at the time and it's 3 to 3-1/2 hours.......... OH IT'S TIME TO EAT!! I'm not even hungry, seriously!

Just hang in there.... it just takes some time. Remember there are allowable snacks. Eat them if you need to!

hungry

Hmmm,
I haven't heard of anyone being really really hungry when they switched to a 5/1. Are you measuring everything correctly and eating all your meat and veggies?? Be sure and weigh and measure. Maybe Nancy will have more ideas about this. How about the water -- are you drinking enough?? Try some hot liquids this always fills me up.
I'll be watching for you

Cindy are you drinking alot of diet sodas? The reason I ask is when I was drinking up to 3 a day , I got a gnawing sensation in my stomach that felt like hunger. I was told this could be caused by the diet soda or too much acid in my stomach. well for me it must have been the soda ,because when I cut back to one a day , it stopped. If you arent drinking a lot of soda maybe it could be stomach acid instead of hunger. I have seen Pepcid recommended on this forum before. I would also suggest you email Jan or Nancy.
