I hear ya! My husband and I seldom just kick back with a glass of wine or a beer, but when we do, we savor it. He came home with YingLing last night and had two while I sipped on my shakes.......I just made sure I got some kissin' in so I could at least share the flavor of the beer!!!!! Maybe make a cup of Fast Soup first and then if you STILL feel you need the wine......I have done this a couple of times now, when I am on the verge and it has actually worked.
Other great "monthly" stress relievers: Motrin, hot shower or bath - as hot as you can stand it and stay in there till the hot water runs out, hot wash cloth on your face, OH! and these new buckwheat or sobikawa pillows that smell like lavender and chamomile are SOOOOO soothing!
But my personal favorite is to distract myself with a trashy magazine and an at home manicure or pedicure. Maybe a special facial.
