I read these everyday!!

Success is not a race, be patient.
Success leads to success.
Success is always a work in progress.
Success doesn't come to you--you go to it.
Success is a journey, not a destination. Focus on the process.
Some people dream about success... while others wake up and work hard at it.
Success is achieved and maintained by those who try-and keep trying.
Everyday is a good day to SUCCEED!
If at first you don't succeed-try, try again

Only One Pound :x :x :x :x :x :x :x

Hello, do you know me?
If you don't, you should. I'm a pound of fat,
And I'm the HAPPIEST pound of fat that you would ever want to meet.
Want to know why?
It's because no one ever wants to lose me;
I'm ONLY ONE POUND, just a pound!
Everyone wants to lose three pounds, five pounds, or fifteen pounds, but never only one.
So I just stick around and happily keep you fat.
Then I add to myself, ever so slyly, so that you never seem to notice it.
That is, until I've grown to ten, twenty, thirty or even more pounds in weight.
Yes, it's fun being ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT, left to do as I please.
So, when you weigh in, keep right on saying, "Oh, I only lost one pound."
For you see, if you do this, you'll encourage others to keep me around because they'll think I'm not worth losing.
And, I love being around you - your arms, your legs, your chin, your hips and every part of you.
Happy Days!!!
After all, I'm ONLY ONE POUND OF FAT!!!

Success comes in cans..........not can'ts

My English teacher taught us that one. She read quotes instead of prayers before each class..

Catholic school. 8 classes, prayers before each class plus before school started as a big group in homeroom. She thought we might need a break. I always rememebred tht one.

Oddly enough, I recall Elizabeth taylor's name attached to it...don't rememember why, though

My away message on AOL is my current favorite:

"Being mad at me is like peeing down your own leg; you're the only one who feels it."

One that I will use when I wan't to thoroughly confuse my kids.

"Never try to teach a pig to sing...it will only waste your time and annoy the pig."

or my fall back until I am thin again.

I appreciate your comments Vicky. I feel exactly the same way. :) I REALLY don't want to be wearing this burden of fat when I turn 50 next January! The time will pass anyway, so I want to use it wisely.
