Fatigue

Postby bikipatra » April 6th, 2005, 3:49 pm

As I have posted, for the past two days I have not been hungry but I have been so tired/sleepy. I am normally up at 6am naturally (no alarm) but today slept until 8:45am. Then I took a nap this afternoon. I have not been exercising or doing anything to fatigue myself. Is this normal?

Biki....for me there are times were i'm full of energy and other days were I need a good nap....my energy flucuates as well...I would say as long as your getting all your MF meals in ...within the right amount of time...drinking the water...and feeling healthy otherwise... I wouldn't worry to much...it could be a number of things ...try boullion sometimes that helps....

Hey Biki - I totally agree w/ my buddy Donna. make sure you are getting all the meals in. My first week was bad and then I had one cup of bouillon and wa-la! 100% better instantly. It could be that you are dehydrating. Fatigue is a huge symptom of that.

I also have days of supreme energy and others where all I can get done is some quality reading!

I agree with my buddies Donna on this, too. I had (and still have) days when I felt I could barely stay awake at my desk, and other days when I felt like I wanted to start training for a marathon to release some of the energy. I suppose some days our bodies are just doin' better at using ketones for fuel than others... not sure the reason. But it appears to be pretty normal, so you're probably not doing anything wrong. I agree that if it persists, and you never feel energetic, you should add a shake or two and see if it helps. Donna is right that dehydration can really fatigue you, so make sure you're *really* getting more than 84 oz a day.
