Fasting question

Postby Joelie » April 20th, 2006, 3:22 pm

I have a doctors appointment in May and I have to fast for all my lab work. My appointment isn't until 9:30 am. I wake up at 6 and have to be at work by 8. It will probably be 10:30 or 11:00 before I get out of there to have my first meal. How badly is this going to screw me up and how on earth am I to get all my meals in for the day starting out so late?

I don't think it's going to kill you just once. It won't knock you out of ketosis or anything. You'll probably just be a little bit hungry, and you may not lose any weight for a day.

As for the meals.

11:00
1:00
3:00
5:00
7:00
9:00

I assume that you will be up until at least nine at night. As long as you space them out by only two hours, you should be fine.

Ahhhhhhhh! No weight loss for a day WILL kill me!

I'm usually up well past 9 pm...so I'll try to stretch the meals out a bit more.

Thanks!

Hi Jolie,
That's exactly what you need to do -- just put your meals closer together. You just don't want to cut your caloric intake for the day. You'll make it.

Hi

Good luck!

When they did this to me, I was practically screaming at them to take the Darned blood so I could get out of there! Have a bar or shake sitting in the car! I could've eaten the car when I got out of that office!

Space your meals closer the rest of the day and you'll be okay!

I agree with DeDe, I've had a couple of times this sort of thing has happened (a delay in my schedule) and the worst part was how hungry I was. I found I needed 2 supplements pretty close together to keep myself from going outside the Medifast line if you KWIM. So maybe a shake and a bar will help!!!!!
