MF Fast Soup & Crackers

Postby STLouieGirl » May 2nd, 2006, 8:50 pm

Hello everyone,

Day 3 is complete and I am sticking to plan despite coworkers wanting lunch partners and friends wanting to go to happy hour :D
I have divided up 30 days worth of food into bags, so can just grab and go.

My question is about the Fast Soup... I ordered the tomato and also crackers. I didn't realize the soup was only 30 calories. So, does the soup with 60 calorie crackers count as a meal?

Tonight I made salmon with steamed spinach and diced tomatoes. It was really good!

Nope. The Fast Soups are snacks, as are the crackers. Two snacks don't make a meal, though.

The creamy soups, as well as the minestrone, chicken and rice and chicken noodle are all meals.

MF Fast Soup & Crackers

Postby STLouieGirl » May 2nd, 2006, 9:12 pm

Thanks for the clarification Robin. I didn't know I was allowed to have snacks...
I ordered all my food ala carte. The information I rec'd with my order Only talked about 5 + a lean/green meal. I guess I am missing something? :? How often can we have snacks? and should fastsoup and crackers be eaten together?

thanks for your help :)

Did you get a Quick Start booklet? If not, there's one you can download on the site here somewhere. It's invaluable in the beginning.

We are allowed some snacks. A couple of pickles or three celery stalks. Sugar-free Jell-O. Bouillon. One pack of Medifast crackers a day. I'm not positive about how many Fast Soups because I've never actually had them.

Sorry, but I'm sure it's in the guide. And someone else will come along who can give you a better answer. I've never had any of the snacks except the crackers and an occasional pickle. (Oh, and Medifast just started offering a new snack, as of yesterday. Soy crisps in a few different flavors. You can only have those OR the crackers, but not both.)

I see you received the link to the quick start quide but I wanted to chime in that we're allowed only one snack per day. Fast Soup and Crackers counts as two.

Unca, the guide has apparently been updated. There's a newer one on the main Medifast site (and it now includes yellow and red peppers on the approved-veggies list; yay!!).

I was so excited about the peppers, I didn't even look at the rest!! LOL

I LOVE the little baby peppers in all the different colors (the guide didn't include orange, but they have the same nutritional content as yellow, so I'm assuming they're allowed, too).
