Fashion Alert!!! Don't throw out all those sweaters yet!

While I try to remain effortlessly hip, I occasionally glean tips from magazines. The chunky, oversized cardigan has replaced the jacket for fall! I just wore one to Starbucks and felt very comfy and warm. So if you have a few in your closet that aren't TOO oversized you might want to hold on to them!

I already got rid of mine.... I think they were a size 1X. I looked like a little kid playing dress up when I put it on. I have my eye on a new sweater jacket at Macy's. I tried it on a couple of weeks ago, and a SMALL is the perfect size. There is still enough room to be able to wear a light sweater under it. Me. A size small !!!

I love Medifast!

Sniff, sniff. I would probably have to lose 30 pounds to wear a size small...

Perhaps. I wear a 38DDD now and they look small to me they used to be so big.

Effortlessly hip...that's something I am trying to accomplish. I've recently taken a queue from you Biki and started looking at fashion magazines. You see, I've been covered in sweatshirts and snow boots for two years in Michigan and I'm trying to get a clue for Nashville. Poor DH had to practically ditch his whole wardrobe and start over with the help of some fashionable friends. The whole scene is a little pretentious. Sort of Rock Star--Hillbilly style. (no boots, hats or rhinestones though! ;)

Trace,
I did not realize you were in Michigan. I was born and raised there. Rhode Island has been my home for only the last 9 years. I can totally relate to the sweatshirts and snow boots!! Where are you?

What I do is go through the magazines and fold down the page if there is something I like-a makeup look, a bag and outfit. Then I can go back and see if I already have things in my closet that duplicate or comes close to the look and often I do. Sometimes I look at a turned down page a week later and decide I was wrong. Othertimes if it is something unusual I will go on Ebay and find it. I found the most amazing teal sequin pave tank top on Ebay and it's 2.49! You're supposed to just have it peaking out under a jacket or sweater. What a bargain.

Yep, we've been up here two years. I'm in Hudsonville, a suburb of Grand Rapids. Definitely a beautiful part of the country. I had never experienced the Great Lakes before and now I realize "Great" is not just because of their size. It's been a great two years, but I'm thrilled to be heading back south before the snow gets here again! Being a native Arkansan I still haven't quite adjusted.

That is a steal! Especially if you are only going to be showing a peak!

I know where you are... in the warm part of the state. I lived "up north" in a very small town Central Lake. We were only 50 miles from the Mackinac bridge. The running joke in that part of the state was, we had 9 months of winter and three monthe of bad sledding.

Ah, the U.P! That saying is cute! My 6'2" 155 lb husband <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_10_2.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D10%252F10_10_2/image.gif"> was always cold up here. He would say "the summer in West Michigan is beautiful, all three weeks of it!"

I lived 6 miles from Torch Lake. That was where we went to swim. Traverse City was where we had to drive to get to a Wal-Mart. Only 45 miles away one way!!
