Ok I cut up one small-medium turnip tonight (it was less than the cup and a half we are supposed to have though, i think it was less than a cup even) into thin french fry looking pieces, sprayed regular Pam (don't have the olive oil one) on foil and put them on it, put some salt on them and baked em at 400 degrees for er.. 15 minutes or so? Well they didn't come out crispy unfortunately, but the taste was rather interesting, and they did remind me of slightly soggy fries. Maybe a different temperature would have worked better?
My lean was those market day turkey steaks (0 carbs) so I stayed under the 300/10 limit.
Martin, why are turnips on the allowed veggie list if we can't have the full cup and a half? That is so weird.
