EVer Have One of Those Days???

Postby mellowmom » May 4th, 2006, 4:59 pm

I've just had one where everything seemed just a bit off.

I woke up this morning heated up some MF oatmeal in the micro...just like I do every day and for some reason, instead of a minute and a half, I set it for 13 minutes!!! I usually wander off to start my computer while waiting for the oatmeal to cook. Well, I got a little involved in a spreadsheet I'd been working on, when I realized that almost 10 minutes had passed and I hadn't heard the "ding" reminding me that the oatmeal was ready. And there was this odd smell coming from the kitchen...
You all can probably fill in the blanks...Oatmeal crisp anyone???

Around noon I decided to go get my car washed. It hadn't been washed since early March because we had been experienceing "The Great Deluge" here in Northern CA. So it's close to my time for lunch but I figure I can grab a lean and green after I take my car to the carwash. I get there, and there are only 3 cars ahead of me...not bad at all. The gentleman that takes my money assures me that I'll be out in under 30 minutes tops. An hour and a half later.....I finally get my car back. :burnout:

By this time I'm starving. I saw a Panda Express on the corner. (Now, I had checked out their menu in advance and there actually are several different meals I can get there and still stay compliant.) So I head over there expecting to buy some chicken with green beans entree...no rice. When I get to the drive-up they have this big ad for Garlic chicekn and green beans... A light goes off  Why don't I just try that instead. So I did, and I ate it, really, really fast...and I think it was a terrible mistake! I've had the grumbly tumblies ever since. Reminds me of the bad experience I had at the House of Genji last month. And that took me 3 days to get over!!! :eck:

So now I'm afraid to leave the house, 'cuz I don't know when the galloping crud will strike again. And I was planning on making some business calls this afternoon at some of the dealerships I work with in the area, but had to cancel because of (see above) :x

So I'm going to go up to my bedroom, lie in the fetal position and wait for this day to blow on by...(No pun intended  )

Well thanks for letting me vent. I feel better now...(No not really, but maybe if I keep on telling myself I do it will come true.)

Oh yeah, been there with you. The more you stay on plan the more no-good food will effect you. Guess that's kind of a good thing

I've both been there and done that! I hope you feel better soon! Note to self...stash more RTD's EVERYWHERE! Things like me remind me of that!

galloping cruds...I'm going to borrow that phrase for all kinds of situations...
