EUCHARIST/LOX/MEAD BREWING

Postby MISSANNE » May 30th, 2006, 10:55 pm

Oh my god!!! I have been off plan and off forum for a week or two and just returned.

I AM LOST! Did this forum switch to a different coulture? I didn't know what any of those thing were until I read the posts. Lordy, what a great group of diverse people we have here.

Anyways, after a 1-2 week hiatus, I'm back. I missed your posts, catching up has took hours. Not to mention that I have gained 5lbs. So, I'm pretty much starting from the beginning again.

Welcome back to me.

Oh yeah, for the record, I meant no offense nor was I mocking any religious/coultural/spiritual anything!

Just figured I clear that up before the bantering began. I just had never heard of any of those. I was raise on Chicken and dumplings and grits.

Hi Michelle,

Welcome back! I've missed you! I had to Google a couple of things myself because I'm a dumb country girl from Wyoming!

Michelle ~ How'd you catch up sooo fast. I'm still trying to get caught up.

DeDe ~ I recently had my resume dissed from a hospital in Cheyenne (frown). Would have been nice to have gone.

I wondered about that stuff too. But, after the whole Mr. Darcy thing, I was too embarassed to ask again. I figured it was some kind of thing that I should know, but since I still am a country girl and still don't get much exposure to "fine livin" I don't. I cannot wait to get finished with school and get out there and go to work. I need adult exposure. The only movies I see are animated or about talking cars or magic nannies and the book I am currently reading is "The Adventures of Tom and Huck". I am too much of a mom, I guess. Anyway, thanks for letting me know I am not the only one who didn't know this stuff!!

Happy that you are back with us, Michelle! You were missed, for sure!
;) You really did quite well, for being away for a short while. :)

Ark, when one door closes, another one opens, and often, is more opportunistic than all others! You are young and just beginning, wishing you great success! :D Joan(formerly Ct. Yankee, now re-registered). Computer problems!

DeDe ~ At first I was a little miffed but now I realize that I shouldn't take it too personally. I'm an exceptional nurse and only want to "huff it" for a facility that can recognize the unique talents that I can bring to the table. I've got plenty other irons in the fire so you can call your people off, but thanks for having my back.

Joan ~ I must totally have you snowed ... I'm 38 and far from young and just beginning, but I will take the compliment. I have many prospects that I'm working through so I'm certain I can find something that I'm happy with.

Gillian ~ Thanks for the compliment. Is your avatar on the way?

Not gasping, not fainting. Hey, I'm the one who once complained to my brother-in-law that I'd had trouble following a James Bond movie (because the plot seemed to keep floating around). BIG mistake. Took a long time to live down the fact that "she can't even keep up with a James Bond movie!" But truly, if you're not familiar with Mr. Darcy, get thee to a video store and rent the 1995 BBC/A&E minieseries of "Pride and Prejudice." Or, if you don't actually have 5 hours to spend watching a movie, get thee to a video store and rent the recent "Pride and Prejudice." Either Mr. Darcy will have you swooning.

*SWOON*

See? I can't even think about them without swooning. Wonder if swooning burns calories?

*Runs off to put P&P in the DVD player, just in case swooning does, in fact, burn calories*
