It's fine to do a mixture of both, but don't do anything really strenuous, 900 calories a day isn't very much energy to spare... Your body will go into starvation mode and you won't lose anything if you overdo it.
Gotta wait on the exercising for about 3 weeks or so, then your body will be somewhat used to the diet and it won't exhaust you to exercise.
