Dry Skin

Postby pinkbugs471 » April 11th, 2007, 4:09 am

Ok... with as much water as I drink my skin should not be dry.

It is, and I am starting to feel like lizzard woman. :dino: I have found an Oil of Olay lotion that is helping on my legs. I am reluctant to try to many things in my face. I have sensitive skin, and don't want to break out. Any of you have a suggestion for something good?

You should be exfoliating your face regularly so that it can retain water and then use a moisurizer marked for sensitive skin. If you clean you face and exfoliate, unless you are allergic, nothing should make you break out if you are choosing appropriate products for your skin type. If breaking out is such a worry, buy some daily acne cleansing pads and use them after you clean your face every other day. Let me know if you have further questions. If you want a reasonable line to start with try Olay Regenerist. Even if you are 12, it is nevevr to early to combat wrinkles. Make sure you are using a sunscreen daily as well, may come built in to the product.

Oh me too! :( My hands are the worst, but I am washing dishes (by hand, no dishwasher) at least 2x a day and washing my hands probably a million by changing diapers 20 times a day with 2 babies haha! I am using so much lotion but it's not helping much.

Sometimes it's not only the hydration -- the medifast program has a lot less fat than most of us were eating previously.

I take a flaxseed capsule every day (which helps with hair issues, too). But it is an extra 10 calories, all from fat, that I'm consuming as I do so. Somewhere there's a whole thread on moisturizers. Seems to me it was about a year ago. Folks like Dogma and Dede were posting what products worked best for them.

I also use MaryKay stuff on my face, arms, legs and hands. It's the first time in my LIFE that I haven't had super oily skin! What I used prior to MF probably would have taken tar out of blue jeans.
Here's to our mutual success! :buddies: --Diana
