DRUG FREE

Postby Loribug » April 20th, 2006, 5:16 pm

I went to my lupus doctor today, I haven't seen her since december. When I told her that I had weaned myself off of my steroids and all the other miscellaneous drugs that I have been on for 12 years she just grinned from ear to ear. She couldn't believe it and that I had lost 55 pounds to boot! She checked me out, said everything looked great "clinically" and is checking all my labs for a final clean bill.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone and their support. I couldn't do it without you guys.

Silver Fox, I went to take a "during picture" for you guys and my avatar and my digital camera batteries were run down! But I promise you will have a picture by next week!

Thanks again you guys!

LORIBUG,

Isn't that just the greatest news ever! Even your doctor is excited about your good news. Fifty-five pounds since December is no small accomplishment. Next time you see her, it will be even better!

I will be seeing my doctor in a couple weeks for all the blood work, annual exam, etc. and I can just imagine her reaction at my 34/36 pound loss since January, especially since she has encouraged me for years to lose weight.

It will also give me the opportunity to show her what Medifast can do for her other overweight patients. I may even take her a before and after picture so she will recognize me.

And you better believe, I will be reporting everything back to you all, as well. :coach:

Thanks for sharing the good news with us, LORIBUG! What an inspiration you are to all of us.

Lizabette

(Hey, if you like my new "Silver Fox" signature, thank ARKLAHOMA!)

Way to go Lori! And it sounds like you have a very supportive doctor there too. That is great, especially because you read on here pretty often about docs who are really nregative to their patience. You are doing really well, I am glad your doc can appreciate that.
