I just walked 1.5 miles this morning because I have to walk more to get to the therapist's office and didn't want to get tired enough I would blow her off. My body hurts a LOT less than it didi the first time jogging. So something in my life is going right.

After my morning walk yesterday I was sore. I was actually sore before I started because of my Firm workout. I'm really trying to concentrate on doing all the moves correctly to get the most benefit out of it and only using 3 lb. weights right now. Can't seem to find my 5 lb. weights.

I went ahead and looked at the C25K program and am undecided about it because you only walk/jog 3 days for 20 minutes. I guess I could pick up my speed more to make it harder. I am slow and it does take me 18-20 minutes to walk a mile. :? Then again........I just though of this.....since I'm already doing my Firm tape 3 days a week it wouldn't hurt to limit walking to the other 3 days. More thinking to do about this.

Hey Donna,

Great work on getting in the walking and the Firm! The C25k is a bit deceiving at first because you start off with relatively little jogging. Believe me, it gets tougher! Since you're already used to walking 2 miles, maybe you can just try to get those 2 miles done in the 30 minutes you have to do the C25k workout. Also, when I started it, I did C25k 3 days a week and went to Curves 3 days a week so maybe you could do your tape 3 days a week and do C25k the other 3 days. Just a suggestion!

Keep up the great work :)

That's a good suggestion Queenie; although, I'm not exactly "used" to walking the 2 miles yet. Trying to get it down to a 15 minute mile would be a good goal and make me speed up. Good idea!

I'm off to work!

Didn't walk this morning but will do my tape this afternoon. I did weigh and am back at ticker weight so that's a good thing. Hopefully I'll finally get under the 200 lb. mark over the weekend. My plans are to walk Saturday and Sunday morning (We'll see how that goes, someone should hold me accountable).

I'm excited about the weekend! My daughter is coming home from school and we are going with my other daughter and her baby for a photoshoot in Dallas. The photoshoot is for my granddaughter, along with thousands of other babies, who want to be on the cover of Dallas Child Magazine. I don't know if I'm really excited about that part but the part where I get to be with all my girls is going to be fun.

I walked/jogged 1.6 miles. Mostly jogging! Wish I could have gone longer but that was as much as I could do.

OK, so the plan for today is ONLY to walk 3 miles, no jogging because I am supposed to take a day off between jogging day. I know I am going to want to jog a little bit but it will help that is is light outside. Some times I feel like I must look like Phoebe did jogging on Friends, so I like to jog so early it's still dark. I will have to wait for the beginning of daylight because some of the streets I walk down on my 3 miles walk aren't exactly dangerous but this IS DC and they are poorly lit.

Donna, I forgot if I told you. You know I'm a native Dallasite, right? I was born at St. Paul and went to the Arts Magnet and then Hillcrest. One of these days when I go home we shoud meet. Maybe go for a walk together!! The weekend sounds exciting!

I only walked/jogged .75 mile this morning. My radio went dead and I don't like not having music to walk to so I quit. I'm going to do my Firm abs tape this morning. I need to do something; I need to keep my goal in mind because I'm having a battle with some leftover homemade mac & cheese in the fridge.

That's funny because when I went to Starbucks this morning, even though I have only had one in my life, I thought "Why don't you have a frappucino?" Duh! Because they have about half the calories I should be consuming in a day! I had my typical iced coffee and shook my head at a mind that acts like it wants me fat sometimes.

Hi Donna - I feel for you having good leftovers. That is one thing that makes it easier for me. I only cook my L&G so there is nothing leftover to temp me. I don't have to feed anyone else. When my family is here I make them take all the leftovers home with them!

You are doing a great job with your walking and exercising. I need to start keeping track I guess. I forget to track time or distance in my walks and I better get with it.

Hi Donna,

You are doing great with your exercise! I haven't walked for a few days. I could go into a bunch of excuses but I will spare you the details! I am off for a walk this morning. I am aiming for 2.5 miles.
Reached Goal Nov 2007 61.5 lbs lost
Gained 11 lbs in Mexico 3/08, decided to lose that along with another 5 lbs!

I haven't walked much this week either. Little depressed lately and have lots of issues going on. I will be exercising tomorrow evening for sure though.
