I'm curious about everyone's average monthly weight loss and exercise routine so I think I'll post a survey question somewhere. I haven't set any goals other than my total weight loss goal. If I was to set a monthly goal I really don't know what would be a realistic one. Hope there is a lot of feedback; I think it would be interesting to know. I am aware that everyone loses differently but an average would be good to know.

Posted survey question in The Weight Room.

Long day today and I am not doing well on the water consumption. Tomorrow I'll weigh in and see the damage from lack of water today and the weekend. It seems like on the weekends I tend to eat more salad and protein than I should but other than that I do okay.

I do want to add that I am officially in sz 18 jeans. Yippee!

I am in size 16 and 14 jean so yipee for us! I am kind of mad for spending so much on them because unless I am a turtle getting to goal (quite possible) they will be baggy pretty soon. I suppose I could always have them tailored...

End of week 8, lost 3 lbs.

I did drink a lot of water last night but not nearly enough so I hope my weight loss isn't part dehydration.

I am officially in size 18 pants and XL tops and I don't have many of those sizes in my closet. Wish I had a clothes angel because I sure don't want to spend money on clothes that I don't plan on being in very long. What's a girl to do, I have to get something since we are going on vacation Saturday. :D

I know that I really need to start walking again but I can't seem to get in the mood to just do it. I think it's because of the heat here and I don't like heat. I enjoy walking but it's so hot and I don't like to walk on the treadmill. Maybe when I get back from vacation I'll do it.

I'm a Dallas girl but I certainly don't miss the heat! Can you walk early in the morning before it gets too hot? Before I actually started sleeping in the mornings, it's what I did here.

This is my very first post and Donna, I wanted to let you know you have inspired me. I have been lurking for a few weeks and researching Medifast. I ordered over the weekend and am expecting my food this Thursday. It has helped me tremendously to read your journal and given me hope that I can do this too!

Donna, are you near a mall? A lot of malls used to have morning walking groups, so maybe they still do? Or if not, you could just do it without a group. (If you Google "mall walking," you'll get all kinds of articles about it, too. There's even a book.)

What am I saying?? You're in Dallas, so of COURSE there's a mall nearby.

Wow, thanks! I love Medifast and having all these other people to correspond with and get support from has been my saving grace. Back in May I was preparing for lap-band surgery and then I found out about Medifast. I stayed on the computer for a full weekend reading all the success stories, and everything else I could about Medifast, and ended up where I am now. Thank goodness!

There are so many others that have inspired me and keep me going (Serendipity, Nancy, DogMa, Tawanda, Bikipatra and Lauren just to name a few) and you should check out their journals if you haven't already. Be sure and look at the before and after pictures in the Studio, that will just blow your mind! Start a journal. Oh, and prepare to lose lots of weight.

Biki and Robin, I'm actually not that close to a mall; I live 50 miles southeast of Dallas, so mall walking is about 40 minutes away in Mesquite. I do have a track about 2 miles down the road so there is no excuse for me not to walk. Like I said though, I hate the heat. I do love getting up early in the morning and going to the track and that's exactly what I'm going to do.....eventually. I have it in my head that I can't start walking right now until I get past some things coming up that will interrupt any progress I make (vacation, surgery and a deadline for the football program). I will be doing a lot of hiking and walking in Colorado next week so that's a plus.

Have a great time in Colorado. Sounds like fun. I am more of a city girl but my husband is always trying to get me to do more rustic things. He grew up in Zimbabwe and just got to explore as a child. I'll take New York or Paris!

How I miss Dallas. From my house when I grew up there were three Neiman Marcuses within 15 minutes by car. The one at Prestonwood has closed now, but I took such shopping for granted!

Thanks Biki, I'm looking forward to a cooler climate vacation, the rest of my family loves the heat. Zimbabwe, how interesting. I love to travel and I really love Paris! A cousin is wanting me to go to NY with her in October and I would love to but lack of funds may keep me home :(

Because he's white and was anti-government (Mugabe) he had his Zimbabwean passport taken away. He has a British passport now. But we did get to go on safari in South Africa and Swaziland though. I stayed in the jeep but really loved it. Saw tons of beautiful animals. I hope you get to go to NY!

I'm at my daughter's house today babysitting a sick grandbaby. I just put her down for a nap and thought I would check in. I brought my meals and my little blender with me.

It's looking like I may get my trip to NY. The husband is going to try to get out of a Vegas trip which was offered to us with free hotel and free airline tickets. He hasn't said anything yet but I can see it brewing cause there are other things going on that weekend that he would rather do. He knows I love going to Vegas so we will see.

Guess I'll catch up with others journals.
