I'm already ya'lls sister. We all have such a common bond. We may not be blood related, we're blub related.

And just because we are losing the blub, it doesn't mean we won't still have a common bond. Our new bond will be maintenance. Woohoo!!

Down 3# this past week and while I didn't make the 40# club yet, I am very excited because according to BMI, I am no longer obese. Now I'm just overweight. :whoohoo: Now to just get down to "HEALTHY". I'm so excited.

I go to see the surgeon this afternoon about that fatty tumor. I'm almost positive he is going to say they need to take it out since it has changed recently. I'm not looking forward to that. I have a little problem with needles ever since the last cyst I had to have removed. I've always been an easy stick, but for some reason last time, they couldnt find a vein and they literally tore my arms to bits trying to get one. I was a nervous wreck and my DH was about to punch somebody. Hopefully this procedure will go much smoother. See.....I'm already getting worried about it, and I'm not even sure when it is going to be done. :?

Good luck on getting an experienced needle person. :) I had that happen once, one lady was so horrible she left a gigantic bruise on my arm that was there for like 4-5 days... :(

Love that 3# loss!!

Donica, congratulations on the new BMI section......it feels so good to drop below that 'obese' labeled area!!

Don't be concerned about the needle stick. The odds of you getting another poor aiming needle pusher ;) is low. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water so that you'll not be dehydrated (like there is a chance anyone on MF could be dehydrated with all the water we drink,).

All will be well (yep, I've waved my magic wand for you........ wish the darn thing worked on my scale!!). ;)

good work Donica
I agree with Tawanda, chances of getting another mosquito like the one you had, are slim. It will be OK.
take care,

You know......It is kind of funny to be excited about being overweight. ;) But I really am glad to be out of the obese category. I don't plan on ever returning. :D

Donica - Congrats on your BMI and your weight loss. You truly are a wonderful sister for helping out your sister. And no longer obese - that is truly great. I hope everything went well for you this afternoon with the doctor. I do not take well to needles and they always have to prick me so many times - I hate it so much. And don't get me started on IVs. Your post just gave me the heebie jeebies - like I said I hope everything went smoothly.

Sorry Sue.....I didn't mean to cause you to have the heebie jeebies.

My appointment went well, I guess. No needle sticks so that was good. The surgeon is pretty positive that it is a fatty tumor and said normally he would just take it out right there in the office. But, (of course there had to be a but), he is afraid that it is in the muscle and feels I need to go to the hospital to have it removed. Great!!!!! They are trying to set up the appointment for mid-May.

Somehow I messed up my ticker, because when I logged on tonight it said I had lost 44# (I wish). Anyway, if anyone saw that :coach: It's not true. (Darn!!!)

Well, I want to read all the posts I missed today, so off I go.

Ouch-I'm sorry. Mine is below the muscle too-when I wiggle my fingers it looks like a dancing camel's back. It's on my right forearm. When I was 8 it looked huge but now it sort of blends, expecially at my size! I hope everything turns out okay-I know it will. ;)

Biki~ You've had that since you were 8?? Does it bother you or cause you any pain? Is it becoming more noticeable as you lose weight?

The surgeon said that losing weight may have actually caused it to grow. He said I've probably had it a long time and it is much bigger than it appears on the surface. I keep imaging a huge hole in my arm when he takes it out. I hope my arm doesn't sink in.

Maybe I'm worrying too much.

On a MF note, I weighed again this morning and lost another .5#. So now I only have another .5# to lose by tomorrow. I know it's possible, but I'm not going to get too upset about it if I don't make it. I mean a half a pound is pretty darn close. If I don't get there by tomorrow, I know I will get there soon.

It has never caused me any pain at all. The doctor said at the time if it ever caused me any discomfort or began to get larger that it needed to come out. He also said they were fairly common. Sorry, but I don't have any experience in what it looks like once it comes out. I imagine the muscle would just be smoother. I don't understand why he is saying he doesn't know how big it is. I remember on my first visit they took and x-ray to tell what kind of tumor it likely was. So I guess they haven't x-rayed you yet? I have always had rather thin arms and legs so it looks pretty much the same as when I was thinner, like a larger muscle on my forearm. No one has ever noticed it unless I point it out.
