Sojo~ you "crack" me up. :roflmao:

Well, I guess I need to keep having crazy, abnormal weeks. I am down another 3.4# today. I was very excited about that this morning. I still don't think I am going to make my mini goal of losing 40# by my birthday at the end of April, but I am certainly going to try.

I am a little nervous because I am at the same place I was last time when I quit. 2 months into it and over 20# down and I let old habits just creep back in until I couldn't seem to have even 1 compliant day. I eventually gave up and gained it all back plus 3 more. I definitely don't want that to happen again, but I didn't intend to let it happen last time either. That's why I am so afraid to go off of plan for anything. When will I begin to trust myself? :dunno: Of course, that makes it sound like I want to cheat, which is not what I mean. I intend to stay on plan until I reach my goal. But, what if I do fall off, will I have the strength to get right back on?

Donica,
Congrats on the 3.4# weight loss. <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_1_55.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_1_55/image.gif">

I know what you mean about losing the weight and going off program and can not get back on. I am finally at the weight where I lost last time and then I quit. The one thing that I am doing different is I make sure I come on this board every single day. And chew my 5 pieces of gum a day. That really helps me. You are going to do it. Lets do it together. <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_9_31.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D15%252F15_9_31/image.gif">

Donica, congratulations on a wonderful week loss!!! :D

Refuse to accept anything but your goal. Keep looking at the end result and don't be willing to settle for anything less that what you deserve. You deserve to be at goal.

Keep posting and keep doing. Just think of Jo, Lauren, Lizabette, Dogma and the others who stayed compliant, refused to give up on their dream and their goal. They made it, they are staying there and we're all seeing that WE can do that, too.

You can do it!!!!

Where is that silly little cheerleader icon when you need one? LOL (I'm too lazy to wait for the emotiocons to load).
Began MediFast 2/10/07 212#
Reached Goal 3/15/08 147#
Renewed commitment 9/20/09-after regaining 38# (185#)
Reached Goal 1/25/10 147# Maintaining :)

Hi, Donica. Great loss this week and you are doing wonderfully. I think it's smart to be aware of where you are and that awareness will help you to reach new places. Funnily enough, though, you don't need to do anything that you haven't already been doing. You just keep going with what you have been doing and you'll be just fine :).

Hi Donica!
I know exactly what you mean ... You are explaining what I felt entering Onderland a week or so ago! When I was on MF 2 years ago I got down to 199.5, ran into some emotional difficulties and gave up! Naturally I gained all the weight back and then some.

I agree with Tawanda ... visiting this forum has given me a lot of encouragement to stay focused on my goal this time. It is still a long way off for me but I know I can do it--and so can you!

Thanks ladies.....I'm so looking forward to all of us getting that Maintenance medallion. We are all going to get there. What a motivated group we are!!!!!!!!

Today has been a good day. I have had a slight headache for a couple of days, but TOM is very near so I guess it could be that.

I found out I am in 10th place at the school's biggest loser challenge. There are 98 people involved. It is kinda funny.......I don't even care anymore if I win that challenge or the one between my SIL and my BIL. It was a wonderful way to really get me started, but now my motivation is coming from within (which is really what's important anyway, right?). I want to reach goal to be healthy and to look HOT! I don't really care if I win the $$$$$. (Though that would be nice too). I'm so glad those challenges presented themselves to me though, because I really needed something to get me started.

Donica, you have such a great attitude and I'm so happy for your big loss this week! :whoohoo: You are definitely going to do it this time and I'm hoping I'm with you through this journey. It defintely helps me to read your journals and stay inspired...I want to adopt your way of thinking cuz its very positive...even when your not happy with a 1# loss you still seem to have positive self-talk. I don't know if that makes sense the way I'm saying it, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that you make a negative out of a positive. Thank you!

New day, and a new you right? Don't fret, and besides, that was a different person, and this person isn't letting those thoughts creep in.
You will do it this time, and you have lots of people cheering you on. Besides, just think of what your students will say when they come back next year and see you all different. ;)

Katie~ Actually only 3 of them are men. The school challenge started Jan. 12, but I began MF Jan. 3. If I got to count my weight loss from MY beginning date......I would be winning the challenge at this point. I've lost 12% of my body weight and the girl who is winning has lost 11.6%.

Kelli~ You ARE going to be with me through this journey. We made a pact remember. We are BOTH going to reach our goals. Let's just keep self-talking our way right to the finish line. :runner:

Mike~ You're right....I am a different person. And....I actually have thought how neat that will be when my students walk in and see a whole new ME. Thanks for cheering me on.

SuzyQ, DeDe & Karli~ Thank you for your words of encouragement. I plan to stick this out. You guys help so much!!!!! GROUP HUG!!!!

I so appreciate this forum and all that it offers. I was struggling a little with foody thoughts today and feeling like I needed to munch, but after coming here.......I feel revitalized and renewed in my determination. You people are great!!!!!!!

Hi Donica - I hate those days when those munchy thoughts come out :x. But doesn't it seem like as time goes by that it's easier to get rid of those thoughts - at least for the most part. I can remember back to week 2 where I went three days in a row just mourning food - that's all I thought about. Thank God that has not happened again...and you are so right everbody here is so helpful. Thanks for your posts and congrats on your progress.... :D
