The thing is, I lowered the weekday calories so that I COULD indulge a little on the weekends. Because, as my cousin pointed out, if I need 1200 calories a day and I eat that much during the week but then have some extras on the weekend, then really I'm NOT eating 1200 a day and I'm going to gain. So I cut back on the weekdays to give myself a little leeway on the weekends.
I've been thinking about it. I cut out some higher-GI foods I was eating (the grapes, basically) and am switching back to lower-GI (and lower-carb) blueberries. Not so many of them, either. And I'm going to go back and look on Fitday to see what I was eating six months ago to see what's changed. And maybe just be a little stricter with myself and try to just cut out this nonsense.
Meanwhile, this morning I did the hill intervals again. Did all three, one minute each, plus ran an extra minute at the end. Tomorrow's a walking day, and then I think Thursday I'm going to try to run (or I should say, I'm going to run) for 20 minutes straight.
