Me, too. Had a good weekend. Ate a few treats, but didn't go crazy. Got new running shoes that actually feel GOOD. Ran 15 minutes this morning, then walked the rest of the hour at 3.8 mph and a 2 incline (ran on a 1 incline).

Supposed to do a new PUSH today, but I'm a little concerned because one arm is very sore for some reason. I'm going to take some ibuprofen and then just give it a shot. If it's really bothering me still, I guess I'll just do the lower-body and core stuff and leave my arms alone.

And I previewed the new workout over the weekend. I'm scared!! (But I think there were no side planks, so at least there's that to look forward to.)

Wow. So McClatchy is reducing its work force across the board, including 130 people at my former paper (out of a staff of 1200). I just heard this includes four people from the various copy desks, with buyouts being offered first. If not enough take them, they will let people go based on seniority. Which means that even though I was hired in 2005, because of hiring freezes and such, I would be very much at risk if I were still there.

So ... I don't care how bored I get here or how high gas prices get, I am SO glad to be working here.

I am so glad you are working there, too! That is no fun for all of those people. It has to be incredibly difficult to be a good employee, but get the boot anyway. I'm glad you are someplace more stable!

Are you through all of your PUSH workouts with Bob yet? You'll have to let me know how you like the new guy.

Nope, still have I think three more Bob workouts. Although this new one kicked my butt. Bob Harper is evil. He had I think four different kinds of lunge exercises to do, two of which were a huge struggle for me. Plus these crazy-hard "plyo pushups."

I know I said the same thing about the LAST workout, and then it got much better in the two weeks, so I'm hoping that happens again. But I'm not so sure this time. One involves lunging forward, then jumping up and switching feet in midair, and landing in a lunge on the opposite foot. Which ... not so much. Especially not when that was the third kind of lunge in the series. (In another, you lunge forward on your right foot, then kick forward with your left, then lunge backward with your left and bring your feet together again. Then repeat a bizillion times. By the time I got my feet coordinated enough to do it, my legs were too tired to keep going.)

The man is insane.

Ha. He was so nice in the beginning. Funny, charming, encouraging. Now it's "don't you dare stop!"

Then again, the fact that I was able to do some of those moves at all is pretty encouraging. I thought when I tried jumping up and switching legs midlunge, I'd just fall on my face, but I didn't.

But today my butt is ACHING. Everything else, too, but nothing hurts as bad as my bottom. Stupid "hydrants."

Hey Robin!

So your doing TBL workouts huh? I was doing those at the beginning of the year and wow, like you said.....this might be TMI...but to even sit on the toilet would hurt, getting down, getting up, I thought I would die! LOL
But they do work!

Hi, Sharon. Nope, these aren't from Biggest Loser. They're from PUSH, a personalized DVD training system.

No, don't feel bad. Same Bob, actually. Harper. Just a very different workout. I haven't done the Biggest Loser one, but this one's pretty hard-core, especially three months in. I only have one more DVD with him, and then I have to "graduate" to the personal trainer who owns the company.

That is my plan! Hmmm....only 8.2lbs to go. We'll see how long that takes!

I think it's great that your butt hurts...even though it probably makes every day tasks rather annoying. With that said, at least you know your effort is worth the energy!
