Uh, definitely not my type.

132.8, but I expect a bounce after the gym. Nothing else to report. I'm going to hit the treadmill, grab some breakfast and head out to the gym and to Costco (and the supermarket if I have time before the cable guy's due to arrive). I'm hoping to get all my errands in today so I can go to Nordstrom and Nordstrom Rack tomorrow (but they're a bit of a drive). I want to look at dresses for the bat mitzvah and jeans. Still hoping for a really good pair of jeans. On sale. Although what I need to do is just bring in the ones I got at Stein Mart last year and get them shortened.

I did better than I thought. I did a modified Week 3 workout (from C25K). Instead of jog 3 minutes, walk 3 minutes (and repeating), I jogged 3 minutes and walked 2 because I didn't have cheat sheet handy. Anyway, I did it. So I guess this week I'll attempt week 4.

I did burn less than I do when I'm doing the incline workout, so I'm glad it's only 3 times a week. I'm going to do it Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays because I want to try to get to the gym Tuesday nights (except this week, when I have plans) and we do the longer, harder tape at work on Thursdays. So I figure the calories will more or less even out (plus of course as I jog more of the time, I'll burn more calories).

Raymond was true to his word and was at the gym when I got there. Got a good workout, and he even showed me a move for the lower abs that I could actually do. He was talking about how easy it is to still get a good workout without weights or gym equipment, and even offered to come over and show me (umm, I think he might actually have been hitting on me a little, but I wasn't sure; he had mentioned that he has no girlfriend and asked why my husband wasn't working out with me).

Sounds like he's interested to me - too bad he's not your type? You could hang out at the gym together. ;)

Definitely not my type. But nice to be flirted with, I guess.

Meanwhile, the cable guy came out and says it's really strange to have all the cable go out at just one house like that. He couldn't find anything wrong, but I did see where the cable connects to the house, and it'd be really easy to disconnect (the one good thing is if it happens again, at least I know what to check).

Spent the rest of the day pretty much just lounging around. I'm feeling last night's workout AND already feeling the one from today, so ... OUCH. But tomorrow I'm going to head out to look at dresses. And jeans. And, if I decide to keep the dress I already bought, a little sweater to go over it (because I just wouldn't feel appropriate in services without something covering my shoulders, especially since I have to go up to the Torah).

Raymond was trying to get to know you in a special way :) Glad to hear the workout went well, though. Also, good job on jumping back into the C25k at week 3. You'll be jogging 5k in no time.

Have fun dress and jean shopping tomorrow.

I was glad to see I didn't have to start back at the beginning, too, Queenie. Not that I jog fast, by any means. But I figure once I jog the whole time, then I can work on improving my speed.

132.2, which is excellent after two days of lifting. I'm really hoping to see a nice drop this week. I think I'm due to beome a fat-burning machine any time now (and it looks like the extra calories might be helping; they certainly don't seem to be hurting any).

Today's my workout day off, although I might do a little abs stuff tonight, and I'm going to try to walk awhile in the mall instead of just going to the stores I need to. I've never been to this mall, anyway, so I might as well check it out.

I totally agree. I hate seeing too much flesh at church. It seems somehow undignified. Maybe I am old-fashioned.

Maybe I am, too, Biki. But yeah, it just seems inappropriate to me. I had enough trouble wearing pants to temple (although I do that sometimes now, if they're dressy pants).

No luck with the shopping. I almost bought some jeans at the Rack, but decided the Not Your Daughter's Jeans were too stretchy and high-waisted, even for me, and even the 4 was a little too big (their sizing is REALLY screwy), and the Lucky Brand jeans didn't flatter my tush enough. And no dresses I liked. Then I tried Dress Barn, T.J. Maxx, Macy's and Nordstrom and didn't find anything I liked better than what I already have. So I guess I'm going to just find a white sweater to throw over them and get some shoes and be done with it.

I did hit Sephora while I was there, though, since there isn't one closer to me. Picked up a perfume I found in a magazine that I loved (Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue), some new mascara and this microbead blush stuff I'd read about. Weird stuff - it goes on clear and then supposedly warms to your perfect shade. It actually looked pretty nice when I tried it (and yes, I'm sitting here at home by myself with my hair pulled back and my jammies on, but with the blush and mascara and perfume on because I had to try them all as soon as I got home.

Thunderstorm appears to be over, so I think I can leave the dogs long enough to get my breakfasts ready for the week and marinate the pork tenderloin I bought yesterday. Geez, it's still hard for me to even say it.

I figured you'd be able to jump right in on the C25K. But week 3  I'm having to extend week 1 a little, just not ready for week 2 yet. I'll get there though, just maybe not on the schedule they have laid out.

Sounds like you found a good trainer, even if he is a little sweet on you!

I read about the blush too and was going to check it out on Wed while I'm at the big mall in the big city! How do you like it? Does the color come up?

I was surprised by how nice it looked. I thought I'd wind up with two bright-red circles on my cheeks or something, but no. Nice and subtle (I didn't use much, but you're not supposed to). It's weird, it's this clear gel in a little tube.

And hey, they say in the C25K instructions to stretch it out if you need to. Just because I'm starting up a few weeks in doesn't mean I'll finish any sooner. I think I can do week 4 this week, but I suspect it may be week 4 for a FEW weeks. And at the speed I jog, there's no WAY I'll be doing 3 miles in half an hour anytime soon. I usually jog at 4.5 mph or 5 mph.

Robin, I was at Sephora today as well!
I tried on so many perfumes and bought none. But I did not try the Dolce. Maybe next time. I did get some heavy over night moisturizer.

Ok, I know I said this before, but Im jumping in on the C25,
when Ive run before, my stomach loves it and shrinks!

Have fun with your blush.

I would LOVE for my stomach to shrink. The top part looks OK lately, but the bottom needs work. I'm doing the exercise Raymond gave me, though, and I might try a few more with his tip (I have trouble keeping my legs straight and lifting them when I'm lying down; he had me put my hands under my tush, and voila! I can actually do it!).

Anyway, 132.2 again this morning, with very little sleep and a bit of a sandbox ... I'll say slowdown, since I don't think it's really a problem, it's just the way my body seems to work. Was super tired when I got up, but I did the Shape workout anyway (but I held on more than usual and didn't add the few extra minutes at the end). I'm also STARVING this morning, and I'm a little concerned because the packaging on the pork roast says it has a lot fewer calories than FitDay says, so I'm not sure which one to use (but maybe the number on the package is for 3 ounces uncooked rather than cooked).
