I'm with you Robin.........why jump out of a perfectly good plane!

Sure hope you find out what's wrong with your leg. Could it be a spider bite?

Even though I'm a long way from transition or maintenance, I have been thinking a lot about it lately. I plan on going back and reading thru your journal because you seem to have done all the right things in adding exercise along with more calories. I'm a little worried about that part of the journey but you have done very well so I know it can be done. Thanks for all the inspiration.

I'm glad if my experience can help anyone. It's been a lot of trial and error; it still is, I suppose. (And it's never too early to start thinking about maintenance. You don't want to get there and suddenly realize you have no idea what to do. I think it helps to have a plan in place.)

And no, definitely not a spider bite. It's something INSIDE, like a muscle or ligament or something. And lasts for months. And flares up every year at this time.

Argh. No one else can do the workout this afternoon, and there's no way I'm spending 45 minutes alone in that basement. So the one good thing is it means I'll definitely make myself go to the gym tonight (can't go tomorrow because of Harry Potter plans).

It's probably stupid to work my legs just when my leg is feeling a bit better, but I never said I was smart.

Yay. Continuing with the new me, I just got back from the gym, where I not only worked out but talked to the manager about the training company. Apparently I'm not the only one to complain. And although there's no number to call the company, I can have them put me in a "service queue" and I'll be called back within two hours. It's too late today for that, but I'm going to call tomorrow and do it.

Gotta go feed the dogs and myself. And change. My workout stuff is soaked. (Oh, and I used one of my new handy-dandy workout log books. Very convenient. And since we know I LOVE to track things obsessively, I think I'll really like it.)

I am an obsessive tracker too. I keep everything in Fitday but keep a written journal daily as well.

Yay for the obsessives in the group!!!

133.2 today, so still up but dropping back down. Of course, I expect it to be up after a gym session, so I'm OK with it (plus I have my usual issue ... maybe I do need to try that stuff Biki recommended a few pages back).

Today: treadmill and tape at work. Tomorrow morning: personal trainer.

I use FitDay and a 'real' calendar to track my daily weight. :D I guess that isn't too obsessive, after all it is only recorded in two places each day.........oh, I guess 3 if you count my journal here.

Good enough, T. We'll let you in the club.

Oh, I almost forgot. Last night when I was at the gym, some woman stopped me and asked if I worked there. Now granted, I was carrying my little gym log so maybe I looked more official, but I've never seen a single overweight or out-of-shape person working there. So ... just a yay, with no jokes about the woman needing glasses or anything. (Although really. I also haven't seen a gym employee wearing the incredibly dorky gym outfit I wear, either.)

Robin, I definitely consider that a NSV!

Yeah, the new me is taking compliments and NSVs where she can find 'em. (But really. Baggy boys' basketball shorts and a sleeveless top that doesn't come close to matching. I'll take it, though.)

I feel so good and so pretty today (and even my leg's not bothering me much - although I'm a tad sore from the workout last night) that instead of going to the movie, I'm going to have dinner with some friends (one of 'em is reviewing a new seafood place for the paper). Then go home and tend to the dogs and rest up, then run back to pick up my book at midnight. I decided this morning that I just look too darn cute to sit alone in a dark theater!

Sorry, no photos. But a chocolate tank top with a lacy turquoise one over it (plus a black hoodie because it's chilly in the office). Hair done (as much as I DO it), light makeup (my new tinted moisturizer and lipstick, plus a wee bit of bronzer on my cheeks). OK, that's way more information than anyone probably wants, but at least I'm not bursting into Maria's song from West Side Story.

ha ha... Robin ! I like your West Side story bit.

Well, actually I appreciated the description since we don't get photos ! And, you are totally right ! Way too cute to sit alone in the dark at the movies :).

I hope you have a great seafood adventure :).

So glad to have you back, Karli!! And yeah, I've been wanting to try this place because it seems to actually have FISH; I don't know if I've whined about this here, but every time I ask someone in Texas for a good seafood place, they send me somewhere with fried catfish, shrimp and oysters, and really nothing else. I'm a California girl; that ain't seafood in my book!

But this place has grilled fish. So yay! I can enjoy a nice, relatively clean dinner out. Fish, veggies, maybe a salad. Yum.

And sorry, if I could take a photo of myself I would. I know Biki's done it, but it never works out when I try. Especially not if I'm trying to show an outfit and not just an extreme closeup of my face with my thumb in the way.

So by some miracle all the water stayed in my mouth when I read this - not sure how I made it.... Great visual!

Oh, hey, Karli, if you're reading this have you read about the new book Robin read? It's released later this month and might be just the thing for you? "Joining the Thin Club." Robin reviewed it in Lizabette's journal....

Yeah, I highly recommend it, even though I'm not getting any kickbacks or anything from the author. But I still think I should. That woman's gonna wonder what's up with all the pre-orders of her book!
