Yeah, regular Popsicles are 15 calories each, I think. Creamsicles are 20, Fudgesicles are a whopping 35 calories.

So they're not allowed, and far be it from me to suggest that anyone have one. At the same time, it's fewer calories and less carby than crackers or soy crisps or peanut butter or some of the other allowed snacks. And I've never really been tempted to have a second one (unlike peanut butter or soy crisps). True, I had three yesterday, but they were spread out through the whole day and evening, and I was fighting a bad cough. And I cut some calories from my other food the rest of the day to compensate.

Yay. Dropping back down, even after going out to dinner AGAIN last night. Fish. For me, at least, the key seems to be ordering fish as often as possible.

I'm also alternating my running days with walking at a steep incline, which apparently burns more calories, at least according to my treadmill. Plus I figure I need some hill work, given how sore I was after the zoo run. Speaking of which, they sent me a photo of me running. I think I'm actually going to order it, in which case I'll post it here. It's definitely not me at my loveliest, but I'm actually RUNNING (or jogging) in it.

And YAAAAAAAAAY for the Ducks! Alex, where are you?

I think a running picture in a race would be cool regardless of how you think you look. Im sure you look like a lean, mean machine 8)

In action and incognito. I'm wearing a hat and sunglasses. Heh. And the glare from my legs is blinding (I've started using self-tanner again, so they might be a little better at tomorrow's walk).

Speaking of which, I saw that discussion in Jo's journal. I like the one Victoria's Secret makes. The coconut smell's a little strong, but it never streaks. Or gets too dark or orange. I used to like Aruba in a Tuba for face, but I haven't used it in a long time and I'm not sure they even still make it.

Weight is stable, which is GREAT on a weekend. Friday night I stuck to my plan and had one rib to taste (they weren't very good at all; no offense to anyone from Cincinnati) and part of a chicken breast, plus salad and the low-fat, low-sugar cole slaw I had made. Despite the fact that JDG had tried to be nice and picked up food from my favorite bbq place (brisket and sausage) that he thought would be OK since I wasn't eating the ribs. I felt terrible about it, but I explained that those are just as high in fat as the ribs and that I wouldn't be eating those, either. Or the green beans or butter-soaked sauteed mushrooms he'd brought. Or the sugar-free (but somewhat high-fat) ice cream. Sigh. One of these days he'll figure it out.

Then yesterday we went to the 5K doggie walk. He suggested just doing the 1K because it was drizzling, but I decided after 1K that I didn't want to stop and he agreed to keep going. But THEN, after I walked the thing instead of running, so that we could stay together, he and the dog gave up after maybe 1.5K and turned back, so I finished the thing alone (but I was kind of annoyed, because if I had known, I'd have worn the appropriate support to run instead of just walking the whole thing). Next time I'm bringing my own dog, who could have easily made it (they swore to me that Wags was used to running with his dad and could easily do the whole 5K) and running, and JDG can do what he wants.

Anyway, I was good all day with food and had a little less than I normally would, because we were trying yet another bbq place. And instead of my usual ribs/sausage combo, I got ribs/turkey breast to at least cut down on fat and calories a little bit. Scale was maybe 0.2 or so higher today, so I'm fine with that. Looks like I've found a solution I can live with. We're supposed to meet for dinner and to watch Amazing Race tonight; I'll probably get fish wherever we go, which should get the scale moving again. It'll be my third time having fish this week, which seems to work well for me. Plus I like fish. :)

Oh, plus we had Teemu's birthday party last night. The dogs loved the homemade dog cake (and we hated it, which is great) plus all the treats I got for them. And Teemu got lots of extra attention, so he was a happy boy.

Oh, right, Miss Hong Kong. Sigh. My trips are all family-related these days. Nothing really fun.

Sorry 'bout all the rib talk, holberry! Although you'll get to maintenance soon enough.

And thanks, Tawanda, on Teemu's behalf. He had a nice time, even though Mojo stole his birthday present (a new toy, from JDG) almost immediately.
