By all means! Contact that other guy and see what he's all about. Play the field a little. You don't have to blow off JDG just yet. I do think it's odd that he isn't into any technology, what type of engineering does he do? It's too bad that someone with so many other good qualities could be so out of touch that he can't hold keep up with a conversation.

It's really sad. He's SUCH a nice guy. And it's not like I'm looking for a bad boy or anything; I WANT a nice guy. Sigh.

His degree is in electrical engineering. He does software security, or something like that. At a large aerospace company that shall remain nameless, unless I've already named it.

BTW, back down some today. Still a couple of pounds over goal and about 5 over my lowest, but I think I'm getting back down there, slowly.

And had MUCH more energy today (funny what eating more food will do!!), so I hit the treadmill. Still did a lot more walking than running, but I went a bit longer and did a full 2 miles.

Thanks, everyone, but how come everybody can see it but me? All I see is my old avatar!!

So I heard from the other guy. We're going to try to talk this weekend, although I looked at his profile again and he sounds a little New Age-y for me. But you never know, right?

Meanwhile, I was REALLY not feeling it this morning, but I still hit the treadmill. Did only walking, no running, but went the full 2 miles. Weight's still not dropping much, and I'm a little concerned. Although I don't want to go back on the program, because I KNOW I won't be able to continue running (not to mention start lifting again) if I do. I think I really just need to watch more carefully, and maybe go back to my once-a-week free days. (OTOH, my black cords are feeling a little loose today, so I guess I shouldn't feel TOO concerned. But I'd still feel better if the scale would drop a couple of pounds.)

And Alex, you'd be perfect, except I really WOULD prefer a guy. Sigh. Life would be so much easier if that weren't an issue.

Totally. I even got confused, intimidated, and a little anxious over not knowing what that means ( :-P
