I am SURE he thinks you are a hot little number! I think you are and when I was leopardizing you, my husband was like "Wow, who's that?" :x He is just shy or very respectful. Both nice qualities.

Thanks, you guys. Last night actually was a little better. He came to get the key and learn the dogs' routine, and we went to dinner. Poor guy. We went for Jamaican food. He doesn't like spicy food, and I warned him, but he said he wanted to go anyway. I thought I saw smoke coming out of his ears after the first bite, but he said it got better after that.

He brought his Miata instead of his truck, too, which was nice.

Oh, and I hit the treadmill this morning. A lot more walking than running, but at least I did it.

Once again, though, I'm debating whether to get lunch from the bbq place down the street. I'm starting to think I should just eat it and be done with it. Considering it's been two or three weeks and it's still on my mind.

I SO don't want to get that attitude, because I know where it leads. But I suspect I'll eat better the next few days if I have this first (and have to make up for it) than if I try to eat better the next few days with the promise of bbq later on.

One sandwich might be better than an obsession that won't leave you....just this once...

Yeah, that's my feeling. I tried putting it out of my mind and that usually works, but it's been three freakin' weeks!!

Biki, are you going to be posting while you're gone, or taking a break? I'm going to miss you!

I'll be posting but probably not as much. They have a free cybercafe in the hotel so I will be checking in! You don't get rid of me that easily! I'll miss you and all the other regulars too!

That's at least ONE thing I've gotten through my thick skull at this point. If I don't like something, I'll give it away or toss it if there are ANY other food options available. (And if I DO like something, I don't have to finish it all. I even left some of my dinner last night, even though it was really good. I ate all the veggies, but left some of the jerk chicken and the rice. Yay, me. And I haven't had a Diet Coke since San Antonio, although I'll probably have one at the blues place tonight.)

Robin, why all the struggle over a BBQ sandwich? I thought you had gotten into the routine of having a free day. Did you scrap that? A BBQ sandwich is definately something you can have occasionally while maintaining. Think of it this way: It's low carb, high fat (which you probably need a shot of once in awhile), and it tastes great!

I kind of bagged the free day, at least for a while. Too regimented.

The thing is, I'm up a couple of pounds over the past few months of stress and travel and everything. I need to get rid of them, but I want to give myself a week or so before I think about going back on a modified Medifast program for a couple of weeks (I'd have to modify it so I can continue building up my running, plus I want to start lifting again either this weekend or next).

The sandwich part makes it carbier than I'd normally want. But I can just cut back on carbs the rest of the day (and maybe for the next few days). I think it's more the idea of giving in to a craving that kind of worries me. I prefer to eat unhealthy stuff only when I've planned for it. It's a control issue.

This was SO worth it. And not all that unhealthy. Wheat bun, white-meat turkey and just a little sauce (turkey was the special today).

Wow. Been a busy couple of days. On the plus side, JDG is growing on me. We went to the blues bar thing the other night, which was kind of fun although the guy really did very little actual blues stuff. Still fun, though. Then last night we had dinner and went to see one of my favorite plays, "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change," and he really enjoyed it. Definitely brought out his sense of humor a little. As did using my new GPS device to get us there and home.

The bad part was we had a huge windstorm, and part of my fence blew down. Sigh. He helped me put up a temporary fix, though, to keep the dogs contained. And he said his brother has a post-hole digger, so he's coming this afternoon to fix it (I still have a call in to a fence guy, though, just in case).

I even surprised myself when he was leaving last night, and kissed him. Just a quick peck, but still.
