Hey, Robin-
I totally know what you're going through having lived through the pain of losing my pets before as well, although I was much younger and they were family pets, so I don't know the pain of having raised an animal myself and then watched it suffer. But I know it's brutal, and for that, I am sorry.
But I want to make sure you're getting the support you need to keep your head on straight through this - diet speaking. I know others here might boo me, telling me now's not the time, that you're going through a terrible patch and to leave you alone, but I feel like several of your posts have been a warning that you're struggling. You mentioned that you've always resorted to eating during your prior losses, and that you just want to drown your sorrows, etc. I want to remind you that this time can be different. Everything you deal with during this Maggie crisis can be slightly better or infinitely worse depending on how you deal with YOU during it. You know this, Robin. YOU KNOW that dealing with life's stress is EASIER when you're sticking to plan. When everything else is bad, the one thing that can be the bright light in the day is that you've taken care of you. Don't let that bright spot go dim.
You may not want to leave your home to go to the gym during this time, but you have a million dvds at home that you can do, so do them. Maggie may love KFC, but that doesn't mean you have to have any, nor does it mean you have to get it for her - if it's going to tempt you too much. Your resolve is going to be slightly weaker right now, so be careful to not make things more difficult than they have to be.
Robin, I wish for your baby lots of health and a continued long and happy life. But aside from the myriad appointments and procedures you can schedule, there's not much you can do but be a good mommy. And the best way to be a good mommy is to be good to yourself. So keep doing that.
Good luck, and use this forum for support for all things Robin - Maggie, work, and the diet. Don't forget, even on maintenance we need to keep working it - perhaps even more so. And if planning meals is too cumbersome right now, why not consider going back to a few more MF meals, and keep the other stuff easy?
My thoughts are with you!
