Oops. Was busy this morning running some errands before I met up with Casma for lunch, so I forgot to post. Anyway, was 130 point something this morning, so about the same, but with major sandbox issues that have since resolved.

Speaking of which, I read about a product that's supposed to help with "sluggish" digestive systems, so I'm trying Dannon Activia yogurt to see if it helps. They say try it for two weeks and if there's no improvement, they'll refund the cost of the yogurt. So as of today, that will be one of my snacks/meals each day for the next couple of weeks. It's a little higher in sugar/carbs than I'd like, but I'll just adjust the rest of my food to make up for it.

And BTW, Mary is awesome and I could totally see a difference from her initial photos in the Studio. Yay, Mary!!! Any other DFW types out there are welcome to join us next time.

For sandbox issues, You might consider 1 tbsp. of whole flax seed per day. It is almost purely undigested, so minimal calories/carbs, and I hear it sweeps you out really well. I plan to try it next time I need assistance in that department.

Thanks for continuing to fill us in on the big M. It terrifies me.

I might try it after the yogurt (but the yogurt's pretty darn tasty, so I hope it works; weird, because I used to hate yogurt). Thanks, Sue.

Meanwhile, after bailing on the gym yesterday (again!! I have GOT to go Wednesday; no more excuses), I'm back down to 129.2. I'm off to run (at least THAT I'm keeping up with). Today I'm going to not do the BFL intervals and instead just go 2 miles and see how much of it I can run. I've decided I really want to run a 5K in a few months.

Today's food:
Egg Beaters, spinach, peppers, onions, feta, and an Activia yogurt instead of tortillas
Medifast chili with crackers
Apple slices with PB
My chicken, artichoke hearts, shrooms, tomatoes concoction plus a tiny baked sweet potato
Glenny's soy crisps (because I'm out of Stacy's)
Medifast pudding

OK, I went just over 2 miles (2.08, I think) in 31 or 32 minutes. Ran more than half the way. So it's a start, but I have some work to do before I can run the whole 3.2 miles. but it's definitely progress over where I was when I started maintenance.

Ha. I've never been a big fruit fan, actually. I'm in it more for the peanut butter. Which I LOVE. As long as I can have a little PB every day, I'm fairly confident I can stick with my maintenance plan. I'm not even interested in having a free day anytime soon; right now I'm just thrilled with the things I CAN have - peanut butter (just two tablespoons a day, but that's just enough for my little bag of apple slices), butternut squash or a tiny sweet potato, artichoke hearts, and even the yogurt. I'm a pretty happy camper right now (although I'd still really like to fit into more size 4's than size 6's, but maybe I will by the time I run that 5K).

I'm also glad that so many folks are returning to the forums lately, starting with you, DeDe and Carmel. Now if my old pal Vicky would just get computer access again ...

Hi

Mmmmm...peanut butter...
Okay, back to reality.

What's funny is that one of my dogs is on pills. The only way he'll eat it is if I bury it in a spoonful of peanut butter (I tried hot dog, he'd eat the hot dog, spit out the pill, I tried cheese, same result). Like mother, like son (dog), you said the P word!

We used to give our our dog pills in peanut butter. They are so cute when it sticks to the roof of their mouths! :-P Makes me miss my Molly. She also loved the taste of baby lotion. You had to run and hide if you put it on your legs because she would try to lick it all off.

Maggie loves peanut butter, but she gets her pills in American cheese. Less messy. Speaking of which, I found a vet nearby who practices conventional and alternative medicine, and she does acupuncture. I'm going to schedule an appointment for Mags because she's having a lot of trouble with arthritis in one knee (the one where she had the most recent surgery). My aunt says acupuncture helped her dog a lot, so I'm going to give it a try.

Meanwhile, 128.6 today. Woo hoo! The higher cals and BFL ratios really seem to be working.

Food same as yesterday. Did intervals again on the treadmill, but went up to 5.5 mph for my 10 effort.

I was hoping to hit the 127s today, but I'm at 128.8. Ah, well. I'm taking this as a day off from running so I don't overdo it.

Food will be the same as yesterday, unless my Stacy's order comes. (And the chicken I made was fantastic! This time I used some of my Maple Grove Farms balsamic dressing, plus garlic and lemon juice and just a smidge of wine, for the sauce. Yum!!)

Holy camoly!! 127.0!!

Did treadmill, no intervals, ran/walked 2.03 miles in 31 minutes. (The 2.08 was in 32 minutes the other day.)

Today's also gym day, so I'll be lifting later on. I'm going to eat a little extra today to make up for all the exercise.

Thanks, guys. Of course, I'm about to mess it up by having extra carbs for dinner (not a free day, just pasta and bread at dinner as a little treat; then again, with two workouts today, maybe it won't even matter).
