Thanks, PJ. You're pretty darn inspiring, yourself! With everything you've been through, seeing you plugging away and working hard at this is wonderful. You rock!!

Wow. Here I've been kinda down because I don't seem to be making any progress, despite all the workouts and the careful eating.

And then after noticing in the mirror that even when I don't suck my stomach in, it's really not protruding much at all anymore (and really just the bottom part does), I decided to try on some of the jeans I don't wear because they're a bit tight. The size 6 Levi's? No longer tight in the bottom, and pretty darn loose in the waist. The size 4 capris that I was so excited just to be able to squeeze into a month ago? Not the slightest bit tight anymore. And the size 4 Levi's that I couldn't quite zip before? They're still a little tighter than I'd like, but I can zip and button them, and I could even wear them if I really wanted to (I'll wait a bit longer, though).

So I guess I must have been building more muscle than I thought, because my weight hasn't really changed. YAY!!!

Tomorrow morning, I'm going to be running on that treadmill like my life depends on it. Because I would really, really, REALLY like to be wearing those size 4 Levi's by Thanksgiving when I see my brother. And my sister-in-law and her friends, whom I haven't seen in a year - and THEN they were raving about how thin I was getting.

Yay. Met with my trainer today, and she gave me my new workout plan for the next month. I get to use free weights a lot more instead of those stupid machines that are made for people bigger than I am.

We did upper body, and my muscles are so tired that I'm having trouble typing. Between each exercise I had to do push-ups, first on the floor and then on a weight bench. Oh. My. God.

128.6. It's too early to say for sure, but the lowered carbs and increased fat may be working. Woo hoo!!

Food staying the same as it's been. I think I get hummus today and forgo the pistachios. Medifasts are chili and pudding.

I actually changed my mind and didn't have the hummus, mainly because I didn't want to have to have a Q-Smart bar later on and I didn't have time to figure out a new plan. So I had pistachios and a light string cheese for my afternoon snack and I'll have some soy crisps for my 10 p.m. snack. Finishing up with my usually pudding when I get home from work.

I'm going to give it a few more days. If I drop more, then I'm going to wait till I hit 125 and then start adding a few calories and see how that goes. Although it's pretty clear the new plan isn't making me GAIN, so I probably should just start adding 'em now.

Had a nice workout this morning, though. I think I'm going to bump it up just a tiny bit instead of overdoing it like I did the other day. Maybe just increase each level by .1 or .2 every few days till I end up running for level 8. I still can't believe how much I like it!! (Although it was hard to get started today because the house was so cold. Putting on running shorts and a bra was NOT appealing. So I started with that plus a light T-shirt. And stripped that off after about two minutes.)

OMG! I just got in my new order and I finally am trying the ranch soy crisps! I DON'T KNOW IF THAT IS A GOOD IDEA OR NOT! MMMMmmmm good! delicious! I'm glad I have them though. Hubby went to town yesterday (nearest big town is norfolk va 3 hrs away) went to Sam's club, super Walmart ect. and the snack food abound in the house today. My soy crisps will save me! Today I decided we will go to Tijuana on our half day off from the conference, I understand it's sleazy, but we will go during the day ....can't get that close and not try to go. I will be immune from Montezuma's revenge because I will be eating pre-packaged food! Neat huh? :)

129.2. Gotta love the fluctuations.

Did the treadmill today. Went up to 5.1. Thought I was gonna die. But in a good way.

129.2. Body fat seems to be dropping, which is awesome.

Food the same today. Exercise will be weights at the gym: legs, abs, shoulders.

I need to stop shopping. I went in for a belt that I desperately need, and walked out with two belts, two pairs of jeans, a T-shirt, a sweater and a jacket. At least I got the belts (Ann Klein, one brown and one black, both with changeable buckles - one gold, one silver).

And I'm still in shock. I tried on about six pairs of jeans, all size 6. All but one were too big. Anyone shop at Stein Mart? Do their clothes usually run big like that? I've never been there before.

129.0, which is excellent a day after weight training. It's also day 3 of 1,000 calories a day, up from 950. Seems like boosting calories is the way to go. Today was possibly going to be a free day, but I don't think it will be. Maybe Wednesday when I lift again, since the extra calories will probably be a good thing.

Exercise today was treadmill. I boosted all speeds by 0.1. Not a lot, but I want to build up gradually.

Food:
Egg Beaters, spinach, feta, tortillas
Medifast chili
Pistachios and string cheese
Salad with chicken, feta
Glenny's soy crisps
Medifast pudding

50% protein, 24% carb, 25% fat

So much for it not being free day today. I had a blowout on the highway on my way to work, and after sitting out in the cold for an hour and coming into a freezing office, I really just don't want a salad. So free day it is. Tomorrow will be my no-workout day because I'll need to go get a new tire. And since it'll probably be early, it might even be a no-weigh day.

Sigh.

Warning: Food talk ahead.

Just for my own records ... had a pulled-pork sandwich, but mostly just the meat and a few bites of the bread. And some green beans, but they were in a greasy sauce with almonds so I only ate a few because ... eyew. And then a single-serve chocolate cheesecake covered in dark chocolate and sitting on a cookie, which was ... there are no words. I have definitely not lost my taste for sweets. As much as the Medifast bars taste too sweet to me? This kind of sweetness didn't bother me at all. I could have stopped at half, but since I only have the one free day and didn't want to waste it, I ate the whole darn thing. I think I'll probably skip my next meal, though, and just have my pudding or something at home.

Tomorrow's back to normal.
