Never got off the exercise track, even while I was injured.
Re: calories, it varies based on what my BodyBugg says I burned. I try to keep a 500- or 600-calorie deficit most days because a) I'd still like to drop a couple of pounds, especially right now, and b) that gives me some leeway for the weekends. I usually eat between 1,200 and 1,500 because my metabolism is still quite slow.
That would be great if you did the Heels and Hills. Or the Zoo Run in FW, in April.
I went crazy on Sunday. Just when my leg was better and I was down to just the toe problem (saw a doc and she thinks it's a cuticle infection, but she said it was OK to walk and run on it), I signed up for an hour walk with a meetup group. Then I learned that the park is less than 2 miles from my house, so I had the brilliant idea to run to the park, walk with the group, and then walk or run home. Great, right?Except I walked with the organizer, who race-walks half-marathons. And then decided to take the longer way home so I could stop at Subway and reward myself with a turkey sub (no cheese or mayo or anything like that) for lunch. So ... I ended up going about 10 miles total, all on concrete, and now my legs are super sore. The only good thing is I think it's just normal soreness and not an injury, so hopefully I'll be OK by my running clinic on Saturday. But geez, will I never learn? At least the shin and quad pain is distracting me from my toe pain.
