Hi Robin,
Hey, i just found a little button up there ^ to adjust the size of the text.
Find the "Board Index" link and look over on the right side of that row. You'll see a little white A icon that you can resize the text with.
Pretty cool, huh?.....:)

Is is that new Wii program that's made you so sore the last couple of days? Sounds like a good one to get, then!

Here's to your water weight dropping off in the morning. Supposedly the second day after a tough workout is worse than the first, so maybe day 3 is the day the magic happens.

I'd forgotten about those MBTs. They were the topic of conversation a while back on here, right? I'd probably fall on my face. But anything that puts exercise into your day without exercising sounds good to me. Let us know how they work!

Yep, that's the "game" that's had me hobbling around for the past couple of days. Ugh. It was definitely a workout, though - just too much emphasis on lower body, at least in the thing I did. It lets you customize it, though.

And I'll keep you guys posted on the shoes. I kinda thought I'd have trouble walking in 'em, too, because I'm not the most coordinated person around. So far I'm doing OK, though. They look goofy, but my pants are long enough to cover them. And they make me a couple of inches taller, which is kinda nice.

It's killing me, though. I've been craving fat-free hot dogs, and I already bought a pack plus some high-fiber buns. But I know the salt will make me bloat, so I want to see a nice drop before I screw it all up with water retention. Sigh. I want to drop below 126 and then have my hot dogs.

Weight still the same ... I think. I woke up at around 2:30 and couldn't get back to sleep, then I weighed in at 127.2. Had my pre-workout snack, but then had some U-Verse issues and decided to take a day off from working out. One quick trip to the potty, and I was down to 126.6. So who knows what I'd have been without the snack. Probably about the same.

Anyway, I've been running bigger-than-necessary deficits this week, so I figure I can skip a workout without cutting back my calories too much.

My soreness is almost gone. Now if this heat would just break ...

127.2 for no good reason. Even without the workout yesterday, I had a deficit of nearly 500 calories. Sigh. :x

Anyway, I ran today, but it wasn't a very good run at all. Happens, I guess. Polar said I burned 720 calories, Bugg said it was more like 480. But I just had my morning snack an hour early, because I'm already over 1,000 calories burned today and I had a little less than 300 this morning. Between that and the heat, I was about to pass out. :(

Library guy is still e-mailing me, but he doesn't really have anything to say. I think it's time I started taking longer to respond, even when I'm bored.

And yes, I'm in a weird smilie-heavy mood today.

Just a quick fly-by. 126.0 this morning, after getting my deficits back to 500-600.

Hey Robin,

Just logging in to see how everyone is doing? 126 holy cow. I had to go back a couple of pages and read your journal. So you really like the wii. I have that down stairs. My son had to have it, and does not even use it.

Just wanted to say awesome job

I don't use it enough either, Katie. I did Wii Fit for a while, then kind of stopped. And I've only done the EA Active thing the one time so far. I'm going to do it again tomorrow and try to just do the upper-body stuff.

Thanks, Karli. I've got my deficits back under control (they were too big again), so I should be dropping some more soon. Except that I'm going out to eat tomorrow and Saturday, so I'll be bloated the first half of next week. Sigh.

Yeah, I pretty much don't like going out to eat, even when I can find what seems like a normal L/G, because resturant food *always* seems to have much more sodium in it ! Unless I go to an organic salad bar and have boiled eggs as my lean ... but then again, that would cost at least $10 when I could have the exact same thing at home for something like $1.50 ! Anyway :-P .

Are you going on a date ?

I didn't realize you get such an intense workout from the Wii. We haven't bought one yet because we heard that they are coming out with a high-def one and we already have a PS3.

Nah. The guy from a couple of weeks ago is still e-mailing, but I've lost interest. This is just friend stuff.

And OKSooner, it depends on what Wii thing you have. The regular Wii Sports and Wii Fit weren't much of a workout for me, but the EA Sports Active was. Although I have to try the upper-body stuff, and I ignored the cardio parts. But the lower-body stuff involved a whole lot of squats and lunges. (Of course, I don't need the Wii for that, so I'm still not sure how useful this will be.)

Hey Robin, well, I hope your out to eat adventures have been fun ! Here's to hoping they won't cause water retention !! At least not too much. I am actually very much looking forward to you reaching 125, and then making your way down below that to 120 ! :exercise:  Hope you have a great day :).
