Thanks, Karli. These days I HAVE to get in at least some exercise every day, or I just feel like a slug. Not to mention that the more I burn, the more I get to eat.

I'm definitely bummed about the fluctuation, but I figure it was probably water retention from having a carbier day than usual (because of the pizza). So today will just be a lower-carb day, with plenty of water, to get that magic number to show up.

I did get in a really good workout this morning, even though I wasn't in the mood and the stupid scale tends to affect my motivation - even though I know it shouldn't. (I guess it doesn't affect it as much as it used to, though, since I was bummed but still managed to get in a better-than-usual run/walk.) Hopefully tomorrow all will be well. I even really wanted Subway today, but I know the salt would KILL me on the scale, so I decided to wait.

Sigh. So I didn't hit 127 this morning, as I'd hoped. I hit ... 126.6!!!!! I'm officially a BodyBugg convert now.

Congrats!! I , too, am a BodyBugg addict. I actually use the GoWearFit, which is a bodybugg product. I truly love it!!
Thanks for posting your daily food intake, also. It is really helpful. I went to see a nutritionist about 6 weeks ago because I could not get my weight back to where I wanted it no matter what I did. She was quick to tell me that I was not eating NERALy enough for the amount I exercise. So she completely revamped my diet, and in 6 weeks I have lost 9 lbs. I eat almost exactly like you do. And the thing I love is that I am not restricted at all; this is more of a lifestyle change than a diet. In fact, I eat 2 pieces of dark chocolate with almond butter every night! And I can eat out now that I know the proper way to eat. Who would have ever thought that by eating more I would lose the weight! Anyway, thanks for keeping us posted on your progress! and CONGRATS!!!

Congratulations! I plan on purchasing a Body Bugg this month. Is the digital display worth the extra money?

It depends on how obsessive you are. I wanted to save some money at first so I didn't get it. Three days later, I couldn't stand not knowing how I was doing throughout the day, so I ordered it. Otherwise I have to wait till I get home to upload, and it drives me crazy. I want to see my calorie burn as it happens. :)

Okay-I will get the digital one. Obsessive doesn't even come close to describing me! I hate having to plug in my iPod to see my Nike+ information, so that definitely seals the deal for me!

Ha. Yeah, it helps me move more during the day, too. I check it a LOT, so if I see it's kind of low, I'll go take a little walk or something at work. Or if I want an extra snack or something (not really an issue on Medifast, of course), I'll check and see how I'm doing so I can decide whether I can afford it or not.

haha ... *I* am feeling obsessed about the whole bodybugg thing, but mainly for you right now, Robin. I think it's *so* cool that you have found something that works for you like that, because I know you have been wanting to drop those pounds for a while now, and that it seemed you couldn't quite find the right anecdote ! So, just so you know, I am still just cheering away for you over here in my little corner of the world !

Thanks, Karli!! I actually have hope that I might make it now, thanks to the BB (well, I'm positive I can make it to 125; 120 still seems a little far off, though, even though it's only 5 extra pounds).

So today ... 127.2, but my midmorning snack was a Fiber One bar to help move things along a bit better. Ahem.

And last night my cousin e-mailed to invite me to a "reverse surprise party" at a restaurant in Austin (near where he lives) - this Saturday night! He had talked about having a party in LA, and in April we scouted a few restaurants out there (his parents live there and can't really travel anymore). So now he's having four mini-parties - in Austin, LA, Denver (where his sister lives) and San Jose (where most of the rest of the family lives).

What's crazy is I'm actually looking into giving away my play tickets for Saturday afternoon and GOING, either with the friend I was supposed to go to the play with, or someone else, or even just alone if no one else is crazy enough to do it. It's about three hours away, and I'd just go down there, stay a couple of hours, and come back home. The restaurant is Fogo de Chao, a Brazilian steakhouse, so I can be pretty healthy as long as I watch my portion sizes (OK, and run my butt off the rest of the week in preparation and to run up some pretty big deficits ahead of time).

haha ... Robin, always planning ! That is one of the most impressive parts to me about what you are doing, and I am sure it is one of the key elements to your success ! There was a time, back when I was working out (A LOT !), that I was really good about planning my meals and figuring it all out, and I would keep track of my intake on fitday and wore my heart-rate monitor and such ... I am not sure what happened to those days ! Well, I know, acually :-P . But, I would like to have some form of them back again, I think.

Anyway, you can TOTALLY reach 120, I bet ! I understand how that might feel kind of out of reach or a ways off or so, but I think as you keep on with what you are doing, it will start to feel a lot more realistic than it might seem at the time to you. You've just been hovering for a while around your initial goal weight, and building some ideas (sometimes b/c of what others have told you, I think), that it just may not be possible for you to get lower ... but, I bet you can :). You just want to be in even better shape, and you deserve it ! And, being even lighter will make running and exercising a different experience, too !

Anyway, have a great day :).

I sure hope so. Running is still SUCH a struggle for me. I feel like I should have progressed more by now, but at the same time, I feel like it's such an accomplishment that I run at all.

So it turned out GREAT. An old friend who lives in San Angelo, which is hours from here so I never get to see her, just happens to be visiting Austin this weekend. So I'll make the drive by myself, but she'll meet me at the restaurant. She just got a new job, and is really happy, so it'll be great to hear all about it and catch up. And score some family points at the same time. And the whole shindig is 5-8 p.m., so even if I stay the whole time, I won't get home all that late. AND having that solo drive ahead of me will be great motivation to avoid carbs or anything too heavy, so I won't be drowsy on the way home. Yay!!

Plus in anticipation of even a few extra calories, I went for a lunchtime walk today even though it's hot as blazes out. I want to keep my calorie deficits high for the next week or so to make up for it. And hopefully still hit my target on Saturday. (Speaking of which, I think once I get under 125, I'll probably see 120 as a lot more doable. The lowest I've gotten so far is 125.6 back in November, for like five minutes.)

Sigh. 127.6 today, thanks to yet another sandbox issue (I don't know what's up lately). :x
