Yeah, I'm thinking I may just need to get used to it. Because 200 calories at a meal isn't at all unreasonable. I just don't know.

Then again, it wasn't so much that I was sick or anything. I think cutting back on the egg substitute helped some. I may even try just a quarter of a cup and one tortilla, and maybe boost calories somewhere else. Although at the same time, I don't want to get much lower in calories at any one meal. Seems like 200 is good for most of them as I increase my calories, with a little more at dinner.

I like having the really light sixth meal at night, though. Pudding or an RTD or whatever. So it's not too much before bed. I think even when my calories are higher, I'll keep that one meal nice and low.

I really enjoy my pudding before bed. I'll probably keep that one in transition and maintenance too :)

That's my plan, too. Although lately I've been having an RTD because I like the pudding after it's sat for a while and I keep forgetting to make it ahead.

I also planned on having oatmeal in the morning still, but it's not enough calories or the right ratio. I may need to play with it a bit to get it to come out right. Maybe with some berries and nuts added.

ETA: OK, I worked it out. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow. If I add a bit of nuts and extra blueberries, the ratio isn't quite right but I can make up for it later on and end up with a pretty good menu:
Oatmeal with berries and nuts
2 RTDs
Non-plan soy crisps
Salad with chicken, low-fat feta and a low-carb tortilla
BFL bar
RTD or pudding

Going to a lunch with a former co-worker I haven't seen in over a year, so that should be fun. Not sure where we're going (he's visiting from Hong Kong, so I'm leaving it up to him), but I'm hoping I can just get some grilled chicken and broccoli or something. If so, then I'll be sticking with the plan I made last night.

No time for cardio this morning because I didn't want to get up early, but I'll do some resistance traning later on. New gym is supposed to open this weekend. Yay!!

Oh, and weight seems to be dropping back down from my nasty free day weight yesterday.

OK, now that the day's halfway over:

Oatmeal with 1/2 ounce of walnuts (I forgot to have blueberries, too)
Salad at TGI Friday's (some sort of low-fat salad with chicken)
BFL bar (which, I'm sorry to say, they're discontinuing!)
Egg Beaters with peppers/onions, low-fat Cheddar, 1 Boca sausage patty, 2 tortillas
Pudding and 10 strawberries
RTD

Approximate total (but everything's a bit higher because I didn't count the low-fat dressing): 984 calories, 43% protein, 33% carb, 24% fat

Ugh. Only thing missing today was my workout. I did some strength training, but without the cardio and video, I feel like I did nothing. Although I did take a long walk with my visiting friend.

Anyway, I already have tomorrow's food planned. I feel better when I do it ahead.

Egg Beaters (1/3 cup) with 1/2 cup peppers/onions, 2 tablespoons low-fat feta, 2 low-carb tortillas
RTD and a small peach
Soy crisps
Chicken breast, a small baked sweet potato and asparagus
BFL bar
Medifast pudding

OK, 131 today, so I'm almost completely recovered from my free-day adventure. Now if I could just get back on the exercise trail, I'll be REALLY happy. Not that I haven't been doing anything, but I haven't had the energy/time to do an hour a day this week. I think it was the two free days so close together, plus all that sugar the second day.

And I think yesterday I may have left TOO much room for the dressing and miscellaneous calories in my TGI Friday's salad. Today I slept a full hour later than I have been. I still need to cook most of my dinner, too, so I just did 20 minutes of Burn It Up (enough to at least get a little cardio workout) and called it quits. Sigh. I'm disappointed in myself.

The good news is my gym is supposed to open this weekend, so I can start the BFL plan. Which might work out better, timewise, since four days a week I'll only need to do half an hour of cardio.

The BodyforLife workout is what i followed when I lost a lot of weight a couple of years ago. I loved the higher intensity/shorter time cardio. Was surprised that I really really enjoyed lifting weights. It was so exciting to see that I could actually build muscles.
I'm looking forward to getting back to some moderate weight lifting once I've been on MF for a while.

Good luck with it!

I love lifting, too, Kendra. My main problem right now is the only free weights I have at home are too light. I've been switching between free weights and resistance bands, but I'm really looking forward to having a whole assortment of free weights and cable machines and all the rest.

Happy birthday to you, too, Kendra!

And Reginia, the first time I had strawberries (a few days ago, not the first time EVER), I would swear they were just about the best things I'd ever tasted. I've never liked fruit all that much, but I'm LOVING it right now. Today I had my first peach in nearly two years. Oh. My. God. Maintenance is a wonderful thing, even if I AM having another of my fat days today (but this time I really AM fatter today; jeans that fit yesterday suddenly didn't fit today - how weird is that?).

I need to get that enthusiasm for workouts back. Tomorrow I'm doing Tae Bo Cardio, because it's shorter and I think part of my problem this week is that I like Tae Bo so much more than Slim in 6. Plus the 35-minute cardio will be more in line with the Body for Life program, which I'll be doing now that the gym is going to be open. I can't wait to go on Saturday!

Ohh not eating fruit was my biggest hurdle when starting!!

That is weird on the jeans...will it make ya feel better that I can wear some new Gap jeans that I couldnt wear last week when I bought them? Needless to say they went right into my suitcase lol

I have been doing so-so with my walking. I am not wanting to overdo it to where it slows me down!

That was always my problem and the reason I didn't exercise until toward the end. It always stopped my weight loss cold, but I think it was partly because I would get too enthusiastic and do too much. And I DO feel better about your Gap jeans. I'm sure mine will fit again in no time. I think I'm just still a little bloated.

OK. 131.0. Did the cardio part of Burn It Up, and then at the end tried to do a BFL type deal (marched in place for a minute, then jogged for a minute, then did jumping jacks for a minute, then marched for two minutes, then did jumping jacks for another minute; I'll need to work on that).

Today's menu:
Egg Beaters with peppers, onions, 1 slice veggie bacon, 1 tablespoon low-fat Cheddar and 2 low-carb tortillas
RTD and five strawberries
2 low-carb tortillas w/ 2 ounces sliced turkey and mustard
Chicken breast, asparagus, half a smallish sweet potato (baked, plain)
Non-plan soy crisps
Pudding

Totals: 969 calories, 49% protein, 34% carb, 17% fat (yes, a bit lower in calories today; maybe i'll add a few more berries somewhere)
