Thanks, Lauren. Yeah, the workouts have finally been going well again. I'm not really running just yet, but I'm walking my tush off with hills and such, and staying on the full hour, so I'm OK with that for now. (And I don't want to touch the jeans just yet, since I'm planning to drop some more weight still. I'll have to see where I stand when I reach my new goal. At some point, if they have to be taken in TOO much, they're just not going to look the same. So we'll see.)

It had BETTER not be another bug. Seems like I went from never being sick to being sick all the time. And I do know I've been taking a LOT of Advil, especially for me. When my cousin heard that I've been taking it every few hours since last week, her first reaction was "Now I KNOW you're in pain." Because I never take painkillers. Sigh. I think tomorrow I need to just bite the bullet, call my doc, and see about getting that cortisone shot he offered. Because I need to do something.

So no more nausea, since I discontinued the Advil. Now I'm back to constant pain, with some spasms thrown in. Lovely.

But I did run a small portion of my workout this morning. About 15 minutes, and a little slower than usual, just to see how I'd do. I did OK, and my heart rate didn't go TOO crazy, so I'll probably try to do it again Sunday morning.

I know that Ibuprofen works best for muscle relaxing and inflammation, but I found post-surgeries (when you're not allowed to take ibuprofen) that Tylenol Extra-Strenth RAPID RELEASE tablets were pretty darn fantastic. You seriously feel relief in like 10 minutes, it's very cool. May be worth a try, and certainly easier on the belly!

Feel better!

But Tylenol isn't an anti-inflammatory, which is really what I need (for the bursitis), plus that and Alleve never seen to work for me, for some reason.

I'm seeing the orthopedist again Wednesday (just in time for Yom Kippur). To probably get a cortisone shot, and to see what other meds I can try. It'll be the day after my next PT appointment, too, so I should be in plenty of pain by then. Sigh.

I usually avoid pain meds like the plague. I just don't do well on them.

I'm sorry you're having so much difficulty. I don't like to medicate myself a lot, either (except with food, I suppose) so I understand your reluctance to have to depend on pain meds. But I hope you find something that works soon.

Thanks. I think I may try a little ice this afternoon. I think I have a spare Zip-loc in the office that I can use. I even have a towel to wrap it in. It's probably not even too sweaty, since I haven't worked out in my office in a long time.

Wow. A new revelation. Today I decided to wear those chocolate brown jeans I think I mentioned earlier, the ones I had never worn before. They fit great when I bought them a few months ago, but now they're big in the waist. So I grabbed a belt - a belt I used to wear maybe 10 or 15 years ago, when I weighed about the same as I do now but had what I thought was a smaller waist. So .... it's on the very last hole, as tight as it can go, and still a wee bit too big. Apparently my waist is smaller than I think it is; it's just that my hips are a lot smaller, too.

So I know I haven't lost anything on the scale in two weeks, but I'm going to shut up about it for a while. :)

I'm just catching up.

Sorry about the expensive jeans becoming the comfy jeans, time to be on the lookout for new skinny jeans!

Yay about the belt!

Hope you feel better!

You are so funny. Don't shut up - crow!!!!! Smaller waist and hips? Last I checked that was better than a few pesky pounds any day. It's not really what you weigh, but what you look like, I think. Keep putting on that muscle and sculpting that thinny bod! :weightlift:

Thanks, guys. I'm holding off on any new jeans till I'm down as far as I want to be. Which will probably take forever at the rate I lose. The stinky part is I'll have to start all over again in the search, because these were men's jeans and they don't come any smaller. Sigh. Then again, now that I'm getting more waist definition again, maybe the women's jeans will fit better.

All that said, today I was ... DOWN. To 128.4. YAY!!

Congratulations on the skinny jeans being too big (and the belt too loose, too)!

I'm happy for you that the new program you are using is working so well. :)

Thanks, T. Me, too!! Today I'm down again, to 128.0, despite going out to dinner last night with my friend from out of town - it's also the lowest I've been in about 20 years!

I wore the formerly skinny jeans last night, and I think tomorrow I'm off to find a new belt. Because they were definitely TOO loose already. No new jeans yet, though, since I'm not done yet.

And for once, this friend (who I actually posted about ages ago, the last time she came to visit) didn't criticize me for dieting, although I didn't tell her what I was doing. I wasn't going to mention dieting at all, but it slipped out. She asked why I was on a diet, and I said I had gained a few pounds and wanted to lose them plus a couple extra. She actually said "that sounds like a good reason" and let it drop. (Last time, even though I was on maintenance and not even on MF anymore, she asked if I was ever going to eat "real food" again, because I ordered something healthy.)

Wow! Good for you in reaching 128.0 pds !!!

You must be psyched !

Glad to hear that your friend was not trying to sabotage you while you went out to dinner !

I have had friends really have a problem with the whole "eating healthy' thing...Probably because it makes them look at their own issues !

Thanks for the sweet thoughts about my daughter...She is MUCH better today !

Still 128. No workout this morning because we had a storm, and my power kept going out. Sigh. (And then on my way to work, something was wrong with my car, too. So it's at the dealer and I'm in a rental. AND my shoulder and arm are killing me today - maybe because of the weather - and are barely usable. Whiiiiine.)

Yay on the 128! You totally Rock!!

My VW bus is in the shop, too. So I had to go back to driving my little 2-door explorer, which is ok with me. I miss the bus, but I've always liked my explorer. DH's truck had been acting up, so he was driving the explorer. Now he's back in the truck and isn't very happy about it! I think he's gotten spoiled with how much easier the explorer is to drive than the pickup.
