Thanks, you guys. Happy new year to everyone!
I was supposed to do another 5K race this morning, but my friend backed out and I didn't want to go alone. Plus it's cold out. Plus, well, I just didn't FEEL like it. So instead I walked a little over 7 miles on the treadmill, with a nice incline. Kept my heart rate in a good spot, so my monitor was happy with me.
I had planned a small indulgence for last night to celebrate New Year's. Ate just what I'd planned and no more, which is good, especially after I forgot to have my afternoon snack and was STARVING by the time I ate. But on my way home from the grocery store, I ripped open a bag of baby carrots and just started munching to fill myself up a little, which helped.
Oh, and I've decided I can't keep bananas in my house anymore (weird that my two off-limits foods at home are ice cream and bananas, of all things). But I can't seem to stop eating them once I start, so from now on if I want a banana, I'll have to go to the store and buy one - and JUST one. Although I'll still keep some sliced-up ones in the freezer for my morning protein shakes.
