I'm fine, Biki, thanks. Just didn't want to "threaten" to leave, so I just left. For the most part, anyway. I'm still around, just not very much.

For the record, 131.4 today. Off to do intervals.

Well I wanted you to know that I miss you and you (and your dogs!) have been an integral part of my MF journey so I don't want you to disappear but I understand the feeling of having outgrown something and maybe that's how you feel about the board. I used to spend HOURS a day posting on a celebrity gossip board and then one day just decided it was not the way I wanted to spend my time-discussing Nicole Kidman's botoxed forehead. Not exactly the same but that was just my experience.

Just thought I'd check in before the holiday. I leave first thing tomorrow for California, and I still haven't packed or even done laundry yet. It'll be a busy night.

Otherwise, everything's the same. Weight still fluctuating in the same spot. Workouts about the same. I'm scheduled to do another 5K in a week and a half. This one's in the evening and downtown, so it'll be safer. Plus it was cheaper to register as a team member, so I started a team and sent out an e-mail to the whole newsroom inviting folks to join, which is so unlike me (but so far, we have six to 10 people, I think). I haven't decided if I'll try to run part of it or just walk. Part of it depends on who else shows up, because I promised one friend I wouldn't let her walk alone (or with people she doesn't know). Plus I want to see how I do this weekend with some outside jogging/running. Assuming my friend's other friend shows up so she's not on her own, I'll probably run at least part of it, though.

Anyway, nothing more to report. I hate leaving the dogs for the weekend, especially since my favorite dog sitter won't be here and I had to get someone else (a colleague who did it once before, but left them alone one night even though she agreed to stay over and I PAID her to stay over). This time I stressed that Mojo really can't be trusted to spend the night in the house unsupervised, so I'm hoping she does a better job. But the dogs are NOT going to be happy about this.

Eating with my brother is always a challenge for me, but I'm going to try to do better than last year. And either way, I'll get right back to normal when I get home, so I'll be fine.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving and I hope the dogs are okay. No doubt they will guilt trip you when you get back but with supervision I think they should be fine.

Hi, Biki. I'm fine, thanks. Tried to check in yesterday morning but couldn't, and then I just forgot all about it. Came back from my trip at the same weight as when I left (131.4 this morning), so yay for that. Ran both mornings I was gone (not Sunday, though, since I had to leave the hotel at 5 a.m.). Did some adventurous eating, including a run-in with an entire box of chocolates (with sea salt, which is why I wanted to try them), but apparently I made enough good choices that it didn't make a difference.

I find I'm doing better and feeling better about myself when I don't come here so much, so I'll continue the way I have been and just check in on occasion.

Well, thanks. I'm still around, just not posting nearly as much. It's kinda dull at work today, though, so ...

131.2 this morning. Did intervals. Been working out a little longer in the mornings, for whatever reason. This Saturday is the Jingle Bell run/walk. The person I was going to have to walk with (to keep her company) had a death in her family and had to bail, which is unfortunate, but at least it means I get to run part of it instead.

Oh, and re: the dogs while I was gone ... poor Mo apparently didn't eat the entire time I was gone (no full meals, at least, just a few bites here and there). I could see her ribs sticking out again when I got home! Sigh. But she's been fine since I got back. I think the sitter just wasn't doing something right (I don't think it's that she was upset because I was gone, because she did fine when I went to Denver for a week).

Anyway, that's about it. I seem to sabotage myself when I get this close to 130 by going out to dinner or overindulging, so I'm determined NOT to do that this time. (I also have been dropping this low without using FitDay - and eating a bit more than usual - so I'm pretty happy about that.)

Back when I lived with my boyfriend we shared a pet dog. My BF used to be the only one who fed him and when he went away to Alaska for work for a few days here or there I would feed the dog and he'd be fine. But one trip he was gone for 3 weeks and the dog would not eat after the 3rd day. He would sniff the food and just look at me like I was trying to poison him. It really made me mad because I was the one who walked him and took him to the vet but I really didn't feed him - so he starved for 3 weeks. When my BF came home he swore I neglected the dog...which of course led to arguements.

Sigh. I've been waiting to post till I got the results from the race I did last weekend. First, it took them till today to post results from a Saturday race. And now, my name isn't even on there. I e-mailed the company, but I'm guessing I'll never know my official time. I'm so frustrated, I could scream.

The time on the clock when I passed under it was 41 minutes and some seconds, and I started WAY at the back so the crowd could dissipate a bit before I started. So I know it was less than that, but I really, really wanted an official time. I wore a chip, but they had messed up our registration initially (didn't give us numbers) and I'm guessing that had something to do with it. Still, though, they HAD a chip for my race number, so they should have results. Grrrr. I just want to cry right now because I'm so frustrated.
