He seems to resurface every month or so (or on special occasions, like my birthday), so I don't know yet. I haven't bothered with the letter so far, though. I looked into Texas law a bit, and the laws here on restraining orders aren't very helpful unless the person has been violent. So I'm once again seeing if he'll just go away.

Hopefully he'll just get tired of no responses and go away, or he'll find someone who thinks he is wonderful (hopefully soon?).

I'd be happy with either one!! There was no card or anything for Rosh Hashana, so that's good. Next thing coming up would be December, when I lost Maggie and got Mojo (and we first met online).

Sigh. I don't know what's up, but I struggled with the jog AGAIN today. Even the walking seemed to be harder than usual. Maybe it's the evening workouts that are making me too tired in the morning - or, of course, maybe it's the new shoes (although the Asics I got yesterday are much better than the Mizunos I returned). I just don't know.

But I'm also not feeling quite so hot today, so maybe I'm coming down with something. I'm debating whether to stay home, but I hate to do that since I'm not really SICK, just not 100 percent.

Sorry to read that you aren't feeling 100%. My bug started with tired, headache and just feeling 'off' then achey, feverish, visiting Ralph and.......nevermind. The germ seems to be hitting people all over the country.......hope it isn't hitting you, too.

Thanks, guys. I got some rest and I'm already feeling a lot better. So much so that I decided to try another run (since I'm not at work to do the tape). This time I ran the full amount - but I was wearing my Shox. So I think my plan for now is to wear my Shox for my 30-minute (or longer) runs, and use the Asics for shorter runs and interval training (basically my evening workouts) and kind of build up to running longer in them. Because I do think they're probably better for me.

(And yes, Biki, I actually remembered to stretch after I ran. Reminding YOU helped me, too.)

I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better, Robin!

What kind of Asics did you get? I LOVE Asics. Before I got my MBTs, they were my preferred brand of athletic shoe. They make a really great
volleyball shoe, which is how I was first introduced to the brand. I've worn them for nearly 30 years now! I still wear them for just kicking around.

The Shox sound really interesting, too, though. Hmmm, I may have to go try on a pair.
Anyhoo ~ good luck with the shoes, it sounds like a good plan. :D

It just shocked me when you said you have been doing anything for 30 years. You look so young that I automatically think of you as around my age. I was imagining you wearing little Sojo tiny volleyball shoes at age 3 or so...

Ha. I know, maybe she was wearing 'em in little baby sizes.


So yay!! My weight is FINALLY dropping back down to normal range, and I'm much relieved about that. Although I'm not so happy about having to stay below 1300 calories to do it. Sigh. So not fair.

Anyway, today's a walking day, so I'm off to the treadmill and trying again with the Asics. (They're the Nimbus, BTW, Sojo. Lots of cushioning and no stability, which is what I need.)

Grats, ROBIN. Glad your feeling better and the weights dropping again.
Sorry about the shoe problems. If your feet hurt, everything hurts!

I haven't seen any photos from the bat mitzvah, which is what I was going to post. I'm not sure there WERE any decent photos of me from that weekend, but I was hoping to post something in one of my dresses. Otherwise, I think I pretty much look like I've looked in all my "after" photos.

I still don't take a lot of pictures.

I will; thanks. I haven't seen any of 'em yet, though, from either family members or the professionals. Other than the one I mentioned right after, which is beyond salvage and quite possibly the worst picture of myself I've ever seen. I look better in my race photo!
