Thanks, Robin, but I still can't match your dedication. At one time, I was motivated to work out everyday, but lately, that hasn't been the case. I need to get motivated again.

Weight's a bit up because of a planned indulgence yesterday (belated birthday lunch with a friend), plus I actually took a full day off from exercise to rest my hamstring and knee.

Back to normal this morning, though. Ran this morning (I almost skipped ahead to the last week of the program and did 30 minutes, but then decided to follow instructions since they specifically say not to do that). So ran 28, walked the rest to make 45 minutes. Deviated a bit from my normal breakfast and had a Lean Cuisine thing, mostly because I didn't feel like cooking breakfast.

My homemade granola isn't working too well - first it didn't clump up, and then when I tried to add some stuff to make it clump more, it got soggy and it doesn't seem to be drying out again. Sigh. Oh, well.

And yesterday I accidentally parked over one of those cement parking-lot bump things, and when I backed out (and over it), it yanked off part of my bumper!!! So now there's some rubber or plastic stuff underneath that's loose and shredding and making a horrible noise when I drive. Sigh. Thankfully I'm car-pooling to work tonight (Emmy coverage) and I'm off tomorrow, so I'll take the car in first thing in the morning (and I guess walk later on in the day). And I'm just going to go the closest supermarket today to pick up a few things - and drive slooooowly, so I don't do any more damage. Argh.

Oh, and they're ordering pizza for all of us working on Emmy coverage, but I'm just going to bring my own food instead since I already indulged yesterday.

Yay. My granola is much-improved, although still not very clumpy (I think it's because I cut down on oil and sugar/honey to make it healthier). Probably not clumped enough for a snack on its own, but fine with yogurt or maybe even in a bowl with some soy milk. At least it's salvageable. And tastes good. I don't know how often I can make it, though; I'll have to see if I can manage to portion it out and not overindulge.

Not AT the Emmys, just coverage OF the Emmys. I'm a copy editor at a newspaper. Sorry, it's not all that glamorous or exciting. But it can be kind of fun.

Hey, sorry to worry you guys and it means a lot to me that you were concerned. I'm OK, just really busy and kind of rethinking things a little. I think I may need to stay away for a while, for my own well-being and to help me become a little less diet-obsessed.

I'll probably be back at some point, but I think I just need to take a little break for a while ...

I understand but that doesn't mean the selfish part of me doesn't want you around every day. I hope you come back from your break refreshed and with the attitude you want.
