Still catching up (on work, too; they actually expect me to DO something today), but wanted to check in and report briefly on the rest of the trip. So the aunt and cousins did end up saying something later. And then this other relative-by-marriage kept going on and on about it, but I guess be careful what you wish for - she was telling her brother, who I don't really know, about how I look like a different person and I must have lost at least 100 pounds. Errrr, not even close, so what in the world did I look like BEFORE?? Geez.

Anyway, I did great on food and workouts up until Friday, and then had zero time for exercise (I suppose I could have gotten up earlier, but I was already getting less than three hours of sleep a night, so I chose not to) and then I fell HARD for the desserts. Ugh. Not totally unexpected, given how exhausted and stressed I was, but I'm still disappointed in myself. Anyway, I'm not going to weigh myself (or at least report/record my weight) for a few days, till I've had a chance to recover. Today's food is normal, and I did a good brisk treadmill walk this morning (and will do a tape at work). Took the stairs, too.

Oh, and indoor skydiving? Fantastic!!!!! Turns out I actually have quite an aptitude for it, too. We got a DVD of our flights (me and my brother), but he has it right now so he can copy it for me and hopefully also pull some stills off it. I'm waiting to get some photos of me in the dresses, but I'm not sure what'll happen there. I don't think anyone took pictures Friday night (sundress) and the one photo I had from Saturday (purple dress) was seriously horrible. I was squinting or something and it didn't even look like me. Plus because of the lighting and background, you couldn't even see my figure.

I can help you with the lighting and background issues, sometimes quite a lot!

Thanks, Biki. This was a professional photo, which makes it kind of disturbing. Plus you can't fix my face. It's really, really awful. I looked about 20 years older. And deformed.

The software I use is made for photographic professionals but if you don't have it on disk or on your computer I can't fix it. I bet you look lovely. You are always so negative about your appearance. You need another one of those exercises like the tank top adventure to rebuild your confidence again!

No, no, not this time. Everyone who saw it agreed that it was awful. I'd have to get someone to scan it in, because it's a hard copy. But really. I'm not saying I look awful, I'm saying this photo does.

Ugh. Still dragging, even after a nice, relaxing evening and a full night's sleep (well, except for the pet sitter's alarm going off at 5:30 this morning again). Meant to get a full run in this morning, but it was raining, which threw everything off schedule (dogs didn't go out at first, and then Mo needed to go partway through my run and I didn't want to ignore her and risk an accident - but then she needed me to go WITH her). So I got in a full workout, but only 10 minutes of it was running.

Thanks, Gina.

Whew. Weight's dropping down nicely after my little vacation adventure. I'm going to keep my calories a little low awhile longer, till it's where it was. Or even lower, maybe. Wouldn't THAT be nice?

Morning workout: Walked 5 minutes, jogged 25 (even though I wanted to stop pretty much every five minutes), speed-walked for 5, and then walked 5 more at normal speed. I'm hoping to do the tape this afternoon, if everything's lined up in our new room. (Oh, I think I forgot to say anything here. The group that works out after us - the people who act like they're in junior high and hate us because we started working out earlier so that we could do a longer tape than they do - showed up right before OUR time, so when we got downstairs they were midway through a tape already. Jerks. So we spent our whole workout time finding another room and getting permission to use it, and scrounging up another TV and a stand to put it on.)

Not quite back to normal yet, but 133.4, which isn't bad so soon after my vacation debacle and plunge into salt and sugar.

Walked this morning for 40 minutes, a little slower than the other day because I was so tired. Will do the tape this afternoon and maybe some abs stuff at home tonight. I'm saving the gym for the weekend.

Argh. No tape today, because I agreed to go later in the day to accommodate one person's schedule, and then her lunch ran so long that it's too late for ME to go. Sigh. It's always a tight squeeze to try to do anything when I get home, but I'm going to try, anyway. At least it's Friday, so I can stay up a little later if I need to.

Sigh. A friend just invited me along to review a new, authentic cheesesteak place. I checked their menu online and they have no salads or anything like that. So I was a good girl and said I can't go.

Oh, except she called and they said they can MAKE a salad. So I'm going to go give it a try and see how well they can accommodate me. And stay away from the Cheez Whiz.
