Why don't you tell her...you know, and hint a little bit about the kickback! :puter:

Ha. Now, Lizabette, that would be unethical. Even if I reviewed it here and not for the paper. Of course, if she wanted to send me a little gift, it would be rude to say no.

I just finished "My Friend Leonard" and enjoyed it even if it was packed full of lies. I prefer Augusten Burroughs for that genre, but would still recommend it.

I'm partway through a Dean Koontz novel right now (love him), but I'm going to have to set it aside tonight. At midnight. YAY for the new Harry Potter book!!

Love Harry Potter...and Augusten Burroughs...and Dean Koontz...and, yes, James Frey (despite the embellishments)...and West Side Story...and REALLY love the choc and turquoise combo!

Ugh. Well, 134.4 but I'm REALLY dehydrated and I was up way too late last night (had to read just a little bit after coming home with my book). Dinner was fantastic - not totally clean because we all had to taste some stuff for the review, but I did very well, I thought. We even had pecan cobbler with ice cream - one of my favorite things - I had two teaspoons, just to taste. Then my food was supposed to come with rice and veggies but instead came with slaw (but a vinegar slaw, not the mayo kind) and waffle fries. I spoke up and they brought me the veggies but left the other stuff. I ate one small fry and left the rest. And then I was intrigued by "cream of roasted jalapeno soup," so my friend ordered it and I had, again, a teaspoon of it to taste. Divine, but I was happy with my taste.

Anyway, no treadmill this morning because I'm so dehydrated. Trainer later on, and I'll probably do the treadmill later, too, if I can put the book down for a bit. No more posting today, though.

Oh, almost forgot. When I got home from dinner last night and got my mail ... JDate Guy had been there and left a note and some dog cookies. Freaked me out - it's been over a month!!! It was as incomprehensible and rambling as always (and written like a third-grader, of course). Seemed to go back and forth between how he really believes he loved me and he'll always be there if I call him and a bit of anger, listing all the favors he did for me (most of which I kept telling him NOT to do) and saying I should have said thank you for gifts he left me before, when I broke up with him and told him not to come by my house and not to leave me anything but the tickets I'd paid for. Anyway, maybe he's finally moving to the next stage of grief or something. But geez, dude, LET IT GO.

Hey, maybe he's in couseling and the counselor told him to deal with his feelings by writing you a letter, but left out the part where he isn't supposed to deliver it! That is freaky, Robin. Glad you changed the locks and all. Do you have neighbors or friends nearby if he shows up someday?

ROBIN, I'm very surprised that he has taken this long to show back up...
Take care.

Actually, I agree with Lizabette -- even when I hadn't been posting much, I kept some tabs on your journal and never seemed to see him mentioned, which was a bit surprising to me ! I thought he would have shown up sooner, too ! But, you know ... he's just testing the water (in his own rather pathetic way) to see if you may have changed your mind after this last month. Which, when considering the content of the note, is a pretty silly way to see if you want to give him a call again ... LOL.

Anyway, I will admit, I am also happy that you changed your locks -- but I will bank on you being safe from him anyway :).
