I dunno, I still think I'm looking more fit and athletic, but I just don't have that sexy air that you do.

And now I'm thinking that BodyBugg Web thing is just way too much money, and I should just turn around and sell the darn thing as soon as I get it. Especially now that I seem to have stumbled across the right calorie level on my own.

I'd rather spend the money on things I really need. Like a pair of really amazing jeans. :D

Thanks, guys. I don't want to get too cocky, but I seem to finally have a working metabolism. I may even make it to 125 (or maybe below?) by the time I go to Denver. Which would be incredible.

Congratulations! I was very happy to hear your weight today and it does seem like you are finally 'working' again! Maybe the anxiety about the money you spent on the Bugg revved your engine a litte. Just kidding of course, your hard work has been evident in your posts and you are reaping the rewards.

Thanks, Nickie. I think between the scale success and mostly because of the little tank-top exercise, I feel like a new person.

I even know what I want to do for my birthday while I'm in Denver. It'll also be just past my one-year maintenance anniversary, so ... they have this indoor-skydiving place (skyventurecolorado dot com) that I thought about going to last time but chickened out. This time I'm doing it. On my birthday. If I can wear a tank top in public, how hard could indoor skydiving be?

Hi Robin - congrats on the scale. That book sounds really good - I just received in the mail a couple of days ago the other one you suggested by Linda Spangle Life is Easy Food is Hard (or the other way around). You know what I mean. I haven't gotten a chance to read it yet.

Keep us posted on the value you received from the new book. It sounds like another one I need to add to my list.

I liked this one a lot. That other suggestion wasn't from me, though. I have one of her other books (a Medifast book she wrote, I believe), but I've never read the one you mentioned. I wasn't crazy about the one I have by her.

Maybe I was just in the right frame of mind for this one, but it hit me just right. And the tank-top exercise was perfect for me. A good, concrete, not too touchy-feely assignment that was simple and yet challenging for me.

I bet that guy at Kroger's wished it were more touchy-feely!!!

You're doing mah-ve-lous, dah-ling!
Sucks about the Bugg thang, sorry you spent your money needlessly -
dang that person who told you about the eBay auction!! ;)

The Great Tank-Top Experiment was interesting, no?
Attitudes follow behaviors just as much as behaviors follow attitudes.
We can actually "program" how we feel and think about things just by doing them!
Our minds are SO fascinating.

We should have pics of the double tanks, don'tcha think?

Hey, taking pictures of yourself is another thing she says to do. Except whenever I try to do it without help, it doesn't work. I need someone to do it for me. Sigh.

And I know, she actually listed a Web site to help find cognitive-behavioral therapists, which is what I've wanted all along. So when I decide to start again, I'm going to look on there and then see if I can find one who works with our insurance. We're changing companies in a few months, though, so I'm thinking of waiting till then. Meanwhile, I'll go with the do-it-yourself version. ;) Today when I went downstairs for the afternoon workout, I wore my sleeveless workout shirt all the way down instead of covering it up with a T-shirt till we actually start. And I wore a nicer blouse to work instead of just a normal T-shirt (it even has a pattern!) and I've been getting compliments all day.

And yeah, darn you for pointing out those eBay auctions!!! But heck, maybe I'll end up selling it for the price that first one went for. You never know.

I think I need to know more about this program! In case I'm wrecking my own metabolism as we speak and will need a jump start after MF, too! I'll have to go back a few pages again....
