Hey, thanks, Janae. It's actually quite nice and sunny out there right now. I'm hoping if we get more storms tonight that they'll at least hit at a decent time (like after I get home but before I go to bed?). Although the forecasts say only a 30 percent chance this afternoon, and then 20 percent tomorrow and the next few days.

It's CRAZY that we're still getting big storms this late in the year. It's not usually like this at all.

134.6. I'll be interested to see how quickly I lose the pound I gained from having one "free" meal - and not even anything that crazy. I know everyone's going to say you can't gain a pound from one meal, but we'll see.

Anyway, normal day today. No thunder, so a full night's sleep. Hit the treadmill this morning, will do a tape this afternoon (also did butt and abs last night). Tomorrow will be gym day after work.

And learned this morning that Mojo loves blueberries (I checked online first to make sure they're safe for dogs, because I know grapes aren't). Teemu wanted nothing to do with them, but Mo kept asking for more and wolfing 'em down.

Robin, You must live in the north Dallas area. I can't believe all of the rain we have been having. I wasn't even aware of all the flooding up north of Dallas until I turned on the news yesterday.

I love reading your journal, what an inspiration you are.

Thanks, Donna. I'm in south Arlington, actually. We didn't get the flooding they did a little farther north, but we sure had a lot of lightning. I'm so glad it was quiet last night. My babies and I need our rest. ;)

Hi Robin,
Dogs are soo funny. My schnauzer used to "rob" my garden. I thought it was slugs til caught her standing in the middle eating 1/2 of each green bean. And I never had any raspberries at the bottom... she ate them!!
I'm so happy you're doing so great with Mo.

She drives me crazy with her puppiness, but she's such a great dog. She's going to be amazing when she grows up. She's just so full of joy.

But now that I had to run out last night for my FOURTH new pair of Shox because she chewed up yet another pair of running shoes, I really can't wait for her to grow up. Sigh. I'm going broke with all these stupid running shoes.

I just got a new pair of shox and I really like them so far. Fortunately, I don't have to worry about them getting chewed up, but I also don't have a fun puppy to play with either ;) Trade-offs.

Just wanted to let you know that I'm inspired by how hard you work out. Keep it up!

I love those shoes. My doc told me to get them when I was having some heel pain and nothing else worked. And they've made a huge difference. Now my brother wears them, too, because he was having the same problem (plantar fasciitis). But I need to stop leaving them out where she can get to them. I'm usually good about it, but I messed up. Sigh.

It's going to be a long couple of years.

135.2, which I just don't get at ALL. I'm going to skip my cardio this morning because I'm going to the gym tonight, plus I haven't had a day off in over a week (I'll still be doing the afternoon workout).

Robin,
Could it be muscle causing the weight gain?

No, it takes a lot of work to build even a little bit of muscle. There's a bit of water gain when you work out because muscles tend to retain more water, but even that is usually only an initial problem.

I did have a bit more sodium yesterday (because I had a little of the packaged turkey, since I was running low on the homemade stuff), although not much and not as much as I was having last week, so I don't think that's it, either. But I'll give it another few days to work itself out. I'm also going to try to get all my non-veggie carbs in a little earlier in the day, which seems to be the one difference between this week and last week. Last week only my first three meals had any starch or fruit, and this week that's been extended to the fourth and occasionally even the fifth meal.

Hi Robin - It's so great to see you still keeping the weight off after almost a year. You give people hope that you can keep the weight off - it's a lot of work (which scares me) - but you can still do it. Thanks!!

Must. Go. To the gym. Tonight. Sigh. So not in the mood, as always.

And thanks, Suzy. Don't worry about it, though. It's more of a struggle for some than for others. Losing the weight was a HUGE struggle for me, so I'm not surprised that maintaining is, too. My body is just not very forgiving, unfortunately. (Plus I'm working not only on maintaining my weight - or losing a bit more - but also on losing a whole lot of body fat and repairing an extremely damaged metabolism.)
