BTW, Biki, since you apparently can add photos to posts, do you wanna post the one of me and Mo in here somewhere so folks can see your handiwork? I think you did a great job!

Sure.
I don't have Robin's permission to post the original so this is just the one where he has been snuffed out!

Isn't that cool? He was on the other side of Mo. And leaning into her, which is why I'm so far away from her.

let me preface this with a "not meant to offend" and a "I hope this comes out/across like I intend it"
You've grown so much. At the start you were not really into him but willing to give it a try and even even willing to try some more when perhaps deep down you knew "no way". Look at how you are able to look at a picture and tell from body language you wasn't into him. You recognize that he is/was needy and is/was trying to pull you back in. Youre looking at things differently. Talk about personal growth!

Hope the phone call goes well. I hat to admit it but a guys voice can be a deal breaker for me. I'll check back - gotta live vicariously through you and Alex.
Start date: 2-05-07

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.

Great picture - nice job, Biki! I agree, I could not tell at all where you-know-who used to be. And it was nice to meet your baby (one of them, anyway), dog ma.

134.0 again today, which is OK with me. The calorie level seems to be working, and not going out to eat so much is definitely helping. I feel a lot less stressed lately, too, with all the should-I-or-shouldn't-I drama over, too.

So ... was not in the mood to run today, but did it anyway. But then part of the way through I decided to walk the rest of the way. I walked faster than I normally do, though, and still did my 2.5 miles. Will do the tape this afternoon again.

Also talked to JDG 2.0 last night. So far, so good. He laughed at my jokes, and I laughed at his. He kept it pretty short instead of keeping me on the phone forever. We're going to meet on Saturday for coffee (well, except that I don't drink coffee). At the same place I met JDG, oddly enough (his suggestion, not mine; it must be some sort of JDG meeting placE). The local Jewish singles group is also having its monthly get-together the Saturday after, and it's about five minutes from my house, so I figure I'll go that, too. May as well, especially when my confidence level is pretty high right now (for me, anyway). The last couple of days? I actually felt kind of pretty. Go figure.

I also had a stressful night last night, aside from the phone call. First, Mojo came to the door COVERED with mud and I had to give her a bath out on the patio. Then later Teemu disappeared. Again. I searched the yard but couldn't find him, but I couldn't find any holes under the fence, either. I finally got dressed and went out to look for him. Got one house away, and heard Mo barking, and something made me come back to the house. And there he was at the back door. But I still have no idea where he was.

I wonder where that mischievious pup went to? Hmmmm, must have a hiding spot somewhere within the yard? Glad he wasn't on a walkabout!

I thought maybe he was under the shed somehow, because Mojo was very interested in something under there (I'm guessing something killable). But it was muddy outside, and he wasn't muddy when he came in. I wish I knew, so I'd know where to look the next time. He scared me!!

And of course Mojo got all muddy again this morning, just as I was leaving for work. And both of 'em were so excited about a squirrel that they wouldn't come in when I called, and I had to grab the leashes and lead them back into the house. Sigh. Brats.

I think this weekend I'm going to either find my little hose thing that hooks up to the faucet (for bathing dogs) or get a new one, and start giving her baths in the guest bathroom. Because the outdoor ones aren't getting her very clean, and it's hard to rinse her off all the way. Maybe I'll pick up some cheap bath towels, too, so I don't have to do laundry as often (I have a couple for the dogs, but she gets them so muddy so fast, I'm constantly having to wash them).

At least they're dog brats and you can put a leash on them. With kids.....well, I think you'd get in trouble leashing them.

There are usually towels in the thrift stores. And then when they start to get holes, I cut them up and use them for rags for washing my car.

And that's my scintillating post of the day. I guess I really just want to say hi!

Take care,

Ha. Hi, Mavesse! That's a good idea, actually. There's a Goodwill place nearby.

And so true, Jo. Although you can get angrier at kids and punish them. I can't do that so easily with the dogs.

Still no tickets. I looked, and he cashed my check (and of COURSE wrote a note on it, even though most people don't get the paper copies back; I only saw it because I kind of KNEW he'd do something like that) on May 24. I just e-mailed and asked if he'd sent them yet.

Glad you found Teemu. Dogs up here are having a kind of field day - the cikadas (sp?) are coming out and some dogs are going nuts eating them...yuck. I have yet to see any of them and they claim if you did not see them back in 1990 the chances of seeing them are slim. But the northern suburbs of Chicago and the suburbs nearer to Chicago are having a field day with them..yuck!!
