Oh, the good news? Didn't eat anything I shouldn't have. Didn't even want to. And I got up this morning and walked/ran, even though I didn't sleep very well.

Oh, and the Ducks WON!!! Series tied, 2-2.

The thing about young women throwing up over stuff like this? Too funny, because just a few days ago, I was telling a friend that I had concluded that I was totally the "guy" in this relationship and he was the helpless female. Not that I think women are or should be helpless, but you know what I mean.

And no, I won't be answering any e-mails except directly about the tickets. And I'll be making sure that transaction's completed as quickly as possible so we can just move on and go our separate ways.

He asked last night, half-jokingly, I think, what I would do if he camped out in my yard till I changed my mind. I didn't even hesitate and said I'd call the police. He said he'd lose his security clearance and his job. I said, "I know."

Robin;

I'm glad you got it over with (the break-up thing) and can have a stress-free weekend. Good for you for being point-blank about the camping in your yard issue. He probably WAS kidding but I bet he was also testing you. Be strong! The love of your life is out there (and it's not chocolate or pistachios, so you've already learned to be more discerning than me  ).

Ha. No, it's not. Although it just might be sugar-free Fudgesicles dipped in Cool Whip Free. :)

Already making some more enjoyable weekend plans. I'm getting together with a friend for lunch one day this weekend, and another friend is going to bring her three teenagers over one day next month for a barbecue and to play with the dogs.

A couple of months ago I wrote:I'm totally picturing dude's basement wallpapered in photos of you, with a huge mound of chocolate-covered strawberries in the center of the room in some sort of shrine setup...with candles and stuff.

Dude is totally creeping me out!
Great answer to his camping question, though!
Take extra care of yourself, Ms. Robin ~
and have a great time this weekend with your newly made plans!

...and remember, Today is the First Day of the Rest of Your Life!
HeeHee, sorry but I couldn't resist. ;)

Thanks, all. Sojo, Have a Nice Day.

Anyway, nothing from him yet, which is great, although I'm still kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop. I'm really more worried about him doing something to himself than to me, but I hope I'm worrying for nothing.

Weight stable all week, despite the stress and lack of sleep (and a little less running/walking than usual). I'm going to try to hit the gym today and start getting back into it now that I have more free time.

ROBIN, just to let you know I'm keeping up!
SOJI has said it, "Take extra care of yourself" and I have to add...
take seriously his veiled threat about this move being "the biggest mistake of your life."
Trust your instincts, the little 'red flags', and take every precaution if it comes to that.
Your weekend plans sound like fun!

Still fine. I'm hoping all the worry was for nothing, although I'm still more concerned that he'd do something to himself than to me. Sent the check for the tickets yesterday, so I'm hoping we'll be completely done in a few days.

Meanwhile, weight still in the same neighborhood. Did a little measuring today, and I think I've expanded a small amount in the middle, but my legs are actually smaller than they used to be. So I think my plan of continuing my running and walking, and adding some strength training back in, is on target. Yesterday I did some weights at home rather than the gym - it must have been enough, because I'm a little sore today.

Food's been on target, too. Going out to lunch today for a planned "free meal," but I think one meal a week should be fine.

hey, baby. you should move back here and switch teams!
ok, now that i've gotten the expected out of the way...

i checked in here for a little "go, ducks, go!" action and read about your cjg (crazy jewish guy). seriously... i date women; i know crazy. i called him back in march, and i stand by my assessment. he's got more issues than rolling stone. it's okay to break it off when you know it won't work. you shouldn't ever have to feel guilty. life is all about changing, evolving... making out with new people.

well, ok. my life is. clearly you are a bit more conservative. this is another reason you should move back here. i could help you bust out of your shell of self-doubt. later, if needed, i could help you bust out of your heterosexuality. although... since you aren't using that particular shell, how do you know it fits? hmm...

yeah, yeah. i know.

if cjg gets weird, put yourself first and call the cops. trust me; i have physical scars to attest to my expertise in this area. don't give any thought aout what it will do to his life; you just worry about yours. it usually takes a few weeks to be sure an uneventful break-up stays that way. when a guy gets all weird and emotive and feels you out about how you might respond if he stalks you a little... well... yeah.

Robin,
I'm just catching up. Let us know if there's any more contact, Ditto what Alex said...don't hesitate to call the cops if you feel threatened AT ALL without ANY worries what it will do to his security clearance/life!

Glad weight's on target and your plan sounds good! I took my measurements today before starting more than walking for exercise and I wanna be just like you...end up with smaller legs! LOL!

Oh, geez, you guys, I don't care at ALL about his security clearance. I'm just glad he recognizes that any weirdness like that on his part would pretty much ruin his life because I wouldn't hesitate to call the cops on him.

But really, I'm not all that concerned. I'm keeping my eyes open, though.

Only contact so far has been two e-mails. That first one, and then one yesterday that his friend (who I've met a couple of times) is in the ICU.

Sigh. No walk/run this morning. Thunderstorm started about five minutes after I got up, and the dogs (even Mo) are petrified. I'll do the tape, though, this afternoon. And I might try to get in an extra mile or two tonight after dinner.

Weight took a bounce from the free meal yesterday, but I'm assuming it'll head back down tomorrow. I would really like to see it head down some more soon.

And sorry, Alex, I'm firmly committed to my team. Even if I'm not using the equipment. But if I change my mind, you're the first one I'll call. :)

And GO, DUCKS!! Did you see that game? Not only did they win, but my MAN scored the winning goal. I was so excited, I screamed. The dogs both jumped about a foot.
