Still hectic. Maybe it's the day hours. Anyway, 133.0 but hopefully I'll be dropping as things go back to normal. Hockey game last night. Missed the Race for the Cure this morning (it's snowing!!!), but I still have Mojo's training plus dinner and a play tonight with JDG, my friend and her boyfriend. Already scoped out the menus of all three places we're talking about, so I found something at each that I can order. No run today, but I've been pretty good about it all week, so I think a day off is fine. Didn't hit my 20 miles, though.

Tomorrow we're headed to the outlets because he wants some stuff and I need to replace my running shoes after a certain little puppy chewed them up. This is the second pair of Shox she's chewed, so I'll need a couple of pairs and I'll need to be better about keeping them away from her.

Nothing else to report, really. Food's been a bit of a challenge lately, partly because I came home to an empty fridge and haven't had time to fill it. I'm even out of frozen spinach for my Egg Beater breakfasts. But I'm on my way there as soon as my new map set loads onto my GPS thingie (wanted to add the area where the outlets are, because I don't think I had before).

It sounds like you have a nice weekend planned. Will the outlet stores be open on Easter? Most everything around here is closed for the day (or at least I think it is  ). Enjoy yourself, even with that blessed snow!

Thanks for reminding me. I told JDG we need to call first to make sure.

Sorry about that. I've been soooo busy. Too busy at work to log in and too busy (or tired) at home to do much of anything.

Pretty much status quo here, though. Weight's up and down the same couple of pounds, although I've been really good about eating clean all week so far. Walking and/or running about 20 miles a day, half at home and half with the tapes at work. Still seeing JDG, and he's been pretty good about giving me time/space and letting me set the pace. Roofers are at my house as we speak, but the wrong shingles were delivered so they're not going to finish today - and there's a storm predicted for tomorrow. Sigh. And even though they swore the squirrels would leave on their own once all the noise and work started, they were still there last night and this morning.

JDG is leaving tomorrow to visit his uncle (the one with cancer who's not expected to live much longer). So I get the weekend to myself (except I have plans with a friend because I'm taking her to dinner for her birthday). And then I'm thinking (and fairly sure at this point) of cooking him dinner Sunday when he gets back. If I can get the breakfast room cleaned up by then (it's normally my staging area for feeding the dogs).

Oh, and Mojo graduates a week from Saturday. I made his day by asking whether he wants to come. He's bringing his video camera.

Wow, I AM a jock. Make that 20 a week.

It's funny, though. The walking group at work thinks I'm a huge jock because I work out at home every day, too. And here I feel like a slacker for not lifting in ages. (I do want to start back up, but at the same time, I need to talk to the trainer. Because tops and jackets are fitting a lot better now than they were then. I think I build muscle in my shoulders and arms way too quickly.)

Just checking in. I think I was 134.4 this morning, which isn't bad considering what I ate over the weekend (well, mostly Friday and Saturday). Still keeping up with the running and the walking tapes.

Cooked dinner for JDG last night as a surprise (he was away over the weekend), and he was really impressed and appreciative. Cleared the table and did the dishes (or loaded the dishwasher; close enough) without be asking, so kudos to his mom. And he got tickets for us to see "Wicked" this Saturday in Dallas. Means changing our weekend plans slightly (we were supposed to go to the arts festival in Fort Worth that night), but that's FINE with me.

Did a pretty healthy dinner last night for us (warning to those in the weight-loss phase; you might want to stop here). Artichokes for an appetizer, then rack of lamb with roasted asparagus and roasted butternut squash, and sugar-free, low-fat chocolate-cheesecake mousse (from a packet) and fresh raspberries for dessert. I even snipped some roses from my yard and made a little arrangement on the table. He was wowed.

I'm trying to focus less on the pounds and more on just eating clean most of the time (especially during the week) and keeping up with my workouts.

I thought I had misread something when I saw the 20 miles per day...I thought wow...I could never measure up to that one...but then I saw that you switched it at a later post to 20 miles per week. Still great!!

Glad that you are having fun with your significant other...your dinner sounds great. No flowers in my vicinity have bloomed yet - so I was jealous about the rose. But I guess I could go to the store for one..but just not the same.

Let us know how Wicked went. Several people I know have seen it in Chicago and have raved about it. I haven't had an opportunity to see it. Some day I would like to see Mamma Mia.

Congrats on staying clean and keeping the weight off. You maintainers are inspirational....and I am so happy and appreciative that you continue to post on these boards for those who are currently fighting the battle.

It seems to be getting more serious... You seem to be opening up like a rose bud. Just an observation...

Welllll ... it was a nice dinner, but not really romantic at all. We're still not there yet (I'm still in therapy, he's still being extremely patient). We're definitely doing better, though.

And heavy sigh. I was up today (over 135!!!), even though I ate well yesterday. Only thing I can think of is I was starving a little before bedtime, so I had five almonds and some Diet Coke (which I hardly ever drink anymore). So maybe the salt did something. At the same time, my ring is spinning around on my finger like crazy this morning, so that's usually a good sign. I'm just going to keep eating the way I have been and wait for it to drop back down.

Walked more than ran this morning, but walked fast to make up for it a little. Did 2.15 miles instead of 2.25. Will do the 2-mile tape this afternoon at work. I'm hoping to do 24 miles this week (4.25 four of the days, 5.25 on the day we do the 3-mile tape, and then run/walk 2 miles on Saturday). Next weekend is another 5K - hopefully I'll actually DO this one (I will, if there's no snow or hail; that was crazy last time). JDG's going with me, although we're going to walk it separately because he's too slow for me (plus he's not used to walking that far, so he's not sure he'll even manage the whole thing; I told him I'd lap him and meet up with him the second time around - ha).
