Thanks, Jonna. No hiding the scale in maintenance, though (and even though I'm working on losing the couple of pounds I gained, this IS still maintenance in my eyes). I'm not sweating it, though. I know I'm eating what I should; it's just a question of whether I'm eating enough right now.

I'm going to give the 40-40-20 thing time to work, though. I definitely FEEL better eating this way (although I miss my peanut butter; I'm going to hold off on it till I'm back down, though, I think; or maybe a tablespoon with my apple slices will be what constitutes a "free day" for now).

Nowwwwwww i see what you mean Robin by that statement..LOL! I went back and read about the "stalker" bit. Hopefully it will ultimately work out for you two...people can change:+)))...but keep a watchful eye!

Hee. Yeah. It could be a fine line between "keeper" and "stalker." Although I really do think he's just clueless and took some very bad advice (the therapist agreed, actually; she says it sounds like he really is just extremely awkward socially). In any case, he's coming this afternoon (if it doesn't rain) to do some more of the fence, and then he'll finish it when he's off tomorrow (again, if it doesn't rain; we have storms coming).

Meanwhile, I'm having to call a wildlife-eradication company (humane, of course) because the "mice" in my attic are actually squirrels, which is what I've said from the beginning. Now they've chewed a hole straight through my roof!!

Other than that, not much to report. I ate more than I intended AGAIN last night, so the plan today is to eat more calories earlier in the day. I don't think the 1,000 or 1,100 I've been trying to eat is enough when I'm doing cardio twice a day (4 miles total). So I'm keeping the ratios about the same, but eating more earlier on, when I'm actually burning them (breakfast after my run, and lunch and snack before and after the t-mile tape at work). OTOH, even though the scale still says I'm up, my tighter jeans are starting to feel a little more comfortable again.

I know!! I'm going to have to marry this guy, just to keep my house in shape! Not to mention all the free dog sitting. This whole dating thing is saving me a fortune (except for the therapy bills; ha).

Nothing much to report, but I wanted to check in. No run today, because my legs are kind of sore. But I'll do the walk later on, and I think I'll run tomorrow to make up for it (that'll give me 20 miles for the week).

Been a couple of days. Had an amazing meal the other night, but it was not at all what I should be eating. Woke up yesterday even higher on the scale, and figured that's that. I'm on my modified Medifast plan (but this time making sure that first L&G has enough calories) for sure now. No excuses, no deviation till I'm back below goal. (Although at the same time, my pants still fit and most days my eating's been pretty good, so I'm wondering if I'm building muscle from the running and the tapes, and it's not ALL fat that I've gained; I don't know).

Anyway, 134.4 this morning. Current plan:

Egg Beaters (1 cup) with veggies and 2 tablespoons low-fat feta
Medifast
Medifast
Medifast
Lean and Green
Medifast
(with possibly one more Medifast thrown in during the day, if I feel like I need it; only "snack" was a tablespoon of PB powder added to a Medifast pudding, which is 27 calories and I think about a gram of fat and carb)

Meanwhile, the squirrels are apparently chewing their way into my attic faster than anyone can stop them, so I need to replace my wood roof. I'm hoping insurance will cover it, or at least part of it. And I leave for California on Saturday, but I'm bringing my packets with me and I'm sticking to the plan when I'm there (I already booked a hotel with a good gym and I'm going to request a fridge in the room; no micro, but there's a coffeemaker for heating up water, plus 24-hour room service in case that doesn't work so well). I figure I did it before, when I was on the program, so I can do it again. But I want this off. Now.

Another good weekend with JDG, too. He's been great about helping with my fence and stuff, and we've actually had some fun together. Laughing and everything, which is a good sign. He said he'll be supportive of my current effort to get those few pounds off; I think he's trying, although for a diabetic, he's surprisingly clueless about what has carbs or fat or sugar and what doesn't.

Hi Robin! Glad you updated your journal. I enjoy reading it, but don't usually have anything of value to respond with (I know, that often doesn't stop me from writing.....but sometimes it does. ;) ).

Rotten about the squirrel damage!

Great that you are enjoying your time with JDG (what does that stand for? Is it his initials or is it an acronym?).

Safe journey on your trip to CA.

JDate Guy, which is where we met. It just kinda stuck. :)

I wish I had more to report. The good news is my determination is back. I think it just took seeing a really scary number on the scale the other day to wake me up (even though I knew it was a temporary bounce up). I'm done playing around, and ready to get back under my goal weight. I've decided to view this not as going back on the program, but as just a little tune-up.

Hang in there, Chynna. I started with more to lose than you (and some major metabolism problems), and if I can do it, anyone can. Get to maintenance and you'll just need an occasional tune-up, too!
