Does anyone here use Xenadrine, Phentermine, etc.?

I'm considering adding a dietary supplement to my routine to accelerate my weight loss. Has anyone else tried this? If so, what were the results? How long did you stay on? Thanks

 I have tried some of these in the past and they make me sick (nauseated) and shaky, with or without the ephedra. I WOULD NOT recommend. My neighbor across the street had a reaction to one and the paramedics had to come to her house...

 Uh, ahem...

WHY in the world would ya want to ingest anything potentially unsafe?

One of the greatest things about Medifast is the fact that it is totally safe. It is considered to be a pharmaceutical-grade food, prepared in a clean, FDA inspected facility. Our vitamin premixes are from known sources, do not have  mercury and other addititives, like some supplements that are not from reliable solurces.

Those diet pills are a form of speed. They are nasty and they do nasty things to your body especially your heart. I have taken some in the past and they make my heart race. So let's see - do I want my heart in good shape or do I want to lose weight even faster? That's a no-brainer for me. No point of having a slim beautiful body if the heart isn't working! :D

Thought I'd check in here. I was on Phen/Fen when it was legal and had no problems. Signed a waiver and went happily from there. Of course, I gained it all back once I stopped taking it. Back then, my mentality was to get away with doing no work at all. Eat the same crap just smaller amounts of it.

I have since tried many over the counter pills with no success. Again, wanting them to do all the work.

Since being on Medifast, I tried Xenadrine because I was losing my oomph. Believe it or not, it made me hungrier! It might have been the upping of my metabolism - I don't know.

IF you decide to take any pills that are aimed at weight loss, I'd go to the doctor. Prescription diet pills still exist and if you take small enough amounts and stay monitored, I can't see why it wouldn't be safe. Everyone is different though.

There are pills that are mostly fiber instead of speed - don't know a thing about them. :-P

Good luck!!

Oh God, Where is that Magic Pill? :devious:

Even though we can split the atom, put a man on the moon, and bio-engineer all kinds of things, I'm not aware of any magic weight loss pill --yet!
I still hope...

Suppose we'd eat up everything on the planet if there was, so maybe it's good things don't come so easily. ;)

I think you have to wait till you get to heaven where you can eat everything you want without gaining weight! Like the movie "Defending Your Life". That's one of the reasons I'm being good so I can make it there!

Gosh Camille, so true…. Cars that talk, Jumbo Jets that defy gravity, that mathematically should not fly, computers that process in nano-seconds, laser surgery, tons of others, but, no magic “not hungry pills” “fat-b-gone” or “cold/fever b-gone pills”

Imagine the person that (if possible, and why not) invents this? Instant Gazillionare…

Hmmm…

Mike, that's sounds like a good project. Why don't you spearhead that, or maybe all of us could put our heads together on the cruise? As far as my contribution, I'm not very good at anything like physics or chemistry, but I WILL SOON be very good at just standing around looking skinny. :wavie:
