DIZZY

Postby GucciGoo » March 10th, 2008, 6:09 am

I was exhausted this morning after a night of insomnia. When I tried to sit up, the room was spinning. I was dizzy for about an hour. Luckily I had some water by the bed, but it was scary. I am (finally) at work, but still feel "loopy". I am scared to have some chicken broth because I think that upsets my belly.

Any ideas?

PS I don't think I had enough water yesterday, could that be the problem?

I think it can be your sodium level. I do not know if your tummy will handle a pickle, but that is what I usually have when I start spinning. Hope you feel better Beth.

The only food available at work is what's in the cafeteria. Would a scrambled egg kill me? Maybe I can have my L&G for breakfast? Scrambled eggs and cheese? How bad would that be? Which is worse, eating a little more fat or spinning. Grrr...

Have you tried the non-drowsy dramamine? I have found that it helps with the dizzies and tummy troubles not just for motion sickness, anyway just trying to help!

Do you have Medifast stuff other than shakes with you? The soups have more sodium, I think, if that was the point of the pickle. But yeah, not drinking enough and letting yourself get dehydrated can certainly make you feel dizzy.

Beth i remember having the same thing happen to me, and i took a potassium supplement and it got better. I know i couldn't eat a banana, so that was MY own personal remedy for the dizziness. It use to happen to me even before i was Medifast, just wanted to add that, and also i use to just sleep off the dizziness and it would go away in about a hour and a half. I DO hope you will feel better sweetie.

yep, dehydration will DEFINITELY make you feel dizzy. I see no reason why you couldn't eat your L&G for breakfast. I know this is late but i figured i would chime in anyway. Hope the day got better.
