Does anyone out there have any meal suggestion and preparation? I am on the 5 and 1 plan.

What do you do for snacking?

By the way, how are the soups?

I love having a small salad with a little bit of radish and cucumber and deli turkey on it. Kind of like a chef's salad. Per someone else's suggestion I have a little bit of salsa for dressing. Be careful buying turkey...I noticed some varieties are honey glazed and include sugar. I also like having a chicken breastuses and broccoli even though I guess that may be boring for some people. I LOVE the minestrone soup and for me it is the soup that needs the least "doctoring". The chicken soup is ok...go ahead and let it sit covered like the directions on the minestrone say. Otherwise it is too chewy. And a soup should NOT be chewy~

Stuffed green pepper
5ounces of lean ground beef
1/4 cup mushrooms sauteed in Pam. Garlic too, to taste if you like.
Mix with beef and stuff in 1/2 small green pepper. Pour 1/2 cup crushed tomatoes over. Bake in 350 degree oven for 1 hr. 15 minutes.

I put this in a foil packet to bake but leave uncovered while baking.

Stir-fried beef
5 ounces of flank or other steak cut in small strips
Saute in Pam.
Add chopped zucchini, green and red bell pepper, mushrooms, cabbage and carrots and saute to desired doneness. Make sure the vegetables are measured and do not exceed the 1 1/2 cups of cooked veggies. Add a dash of soy sauce and serve. This is also good just using green, red, yellow and orange bell pepper along with the beef. You can use a beef bullion cube to give more flavor as you saute.

Suzanne ~

This sounds very tasty.

Steamed or stir-fried cabbage is very good IMHO.
Nothing tastes as good as thin feels...
